In terms of skills, he's above good but below the best in the world. He's a tough kid who is capable of using his brain and sticking to a game plan. He has an excellent father and son corner team named Mark and Jimmy Tibbs.

Mitchell makes mistakes. He loses his head and gets into trouble outside the ring, and cut corners in training. That's his biggest detrement.

I think he'll lose to Burns, but he'll always beat the John Murray's of the world.

He's one of those guys who was suited to being at a certain weight. Mitchell would do much better if his weight had allowed him to stay at 130lbs IMO.

    7/10.

Good talent. Always been a fan of his. Shame he's a bit of a ****-up outside the ring. Mentally, he's not as strong as he should be, either.

I have always rated him and he is a very good boxer, what hurts his potential is his out of ring antics (weed farm) and his mentality.

And at times he loses his head in the ring and becomes too agressive instead of simply boxing.

He has very good angles and can fight well on the back foot.Never going to be a world beater though.
That being said,if his head wasn't so ****ed I agree with SJS that he could trouble anyone at 130 on the right night with a stable head and camp.
I'm also worried that he'll make life very difficult for Ricky because he knows this is last orders.I'm picking Ricky to win but I don't think:)oops:) he stops Mitchell.I know this is what we always hear but apparently he's trained like a beast for this one.Add to that Ricky doesn't seem to cope well with being very much the favourite in this situation.
I'd be lying if I said I was super confident about this one.The trick for Ricky is to cut Mitchell's lateral movement off,and whilst I think Ricky's jab is one of the most underrated in the game,he'll need a big variety of punches because it'll be about catching Mitchell on the move,so short hooks and long crosses will be just as important on the night.

    Typical ****** post.

The words "hype job" and "Exposed" have to be my two most hated words when talking about boxers.

    One of my favourites
Mainly because he is down to earth which is funny because Floyd is my favourite fighter. Also because he is very local.

He has a good jab, can use it on the back and front foot to good effect.
    Good power
    Can triple off his lead
He can be drew into a war but he is generally a tough kid with brains in the ring, out of it, well he's improving.
He creates good angles for himself to attack from
He is above domestic level but maybe just falls short I world level.
I haven't analysed the fight yet but I think he has a solid chance against burns.
    :)

This is the best overall thread i have read in a while. 1 or 2 idiots but generally good overviews.

Mitchell?? i'm undecided on his level yet. He is undeniably a **** up outside the ring. But some boxers can get away with that. even use it to their advantage. He even stated it as motivation for the murray fight. Inside the ring he is a very, very good boxer who has good shot selection on the back AND FRONT foot. He can dictate the pace and style of a fight effectively. He can punch and box. He can finish people. Overall has a good boxing brain. HOWEVER, i haven't seen him in against a top level guy who also has a good boxing or even fighting brain - that could be his big downfall.

Vs Burns. I got Burns in a tough close decision. even a close UD. Sorry Kev i think your numbers up

P.S to all those people talking about the katsidis fight. Mitchell didnt perform (for whatever reason, i've heard a few). That was not a good representation of his ability as a fighter.
