Cheers for that, Flea. Is it confirmed?

That's a good fight. I was secretly hoping for a little better but it's a big step up for Quillin, no matter how far gone Winky might be, he'll still present PQ with problems he's never seen before. Quillin does seem to struggle when someone is able to jab with him. McEwan did it and started landing left hands on him. Quillin did adjust well though. But he'll struggle to open Winky up as you say because he's not a volume puncher like Williams so won't swamp him with activity and put that rustiness and old age to work.

Winky also tends to do well with styles like Quillins. In some ways Quillin is a little similar to Trinidad in the way he does certain things. I think it's a fight that might end up not doing much for Peter Quillin. Even if he wins he might look bad.

Just depends on what Winky turns up though really. He's been on the milk carton longer than ever and he's probabily semi retired in his mind.

Supposedly he sees Quillin as less of a challenge than Williams but enough for him to get up for it. 3rd billing on Cotto-Mayweather by the sounds of it!

Looks like the Winky fight has stalled. Winky doing his usual act.

Seems like Kid Chocolate can't get a legit opponent for this big coming out party. :-(

Bringing Winky back from the dead was no good anyway, even as a tune-up, Quillin can do much better.

Yeah, mate. I wasn't too big on the Winky fight either. But it looks like he's struggling to get someone now. It's a big and important stage for him this. He needs the right opponent. Not many options.

Someone like that Kazak midget Khurtsidze wouldn't be a bad opponent, he's normally game and up for a challenge. I think he could do with the payday too.

So many options IMO, but not many who are realisitcally willing to fight Quillin at such a high risk for suck little reward.

I think at this stage they want and need a major step up or a name for a big showcase. He's had enough of the same type of opponents. I feel sorry for the kid. As you say high risk little reward for the likes of Lee. A fight that should be happening right now. He's also lost a lot of time. Something that so many fighters today are suffering from.

Golden Boy is apparently offering awful terms to all of his potential opponents for this fight. As a result I'm not expecting any kind of step up in terms of quality of competition.

A real shame. Given how he looked less than stellar Vs McEwan, I think Winky still would've been interesting. He seems non-plodded from what I've read.

I think Quillin would blow Winky(present version) away to be honest. However he should chase Jermaine Taylor who still has form and is a more credible opponent. The problem is Taylor won't be interested. GGG is in America now but I doubt Goldeny boy would allow that. Maybe Pavlik? I'm sure Pavlik at a catchweight!!! Also Alcine would be a good keep busy fight and maybe if Barker or Daniel Geale is who they should chase also.

Winky wasn't even blown away under fire from a prime Paul Williams. He will always have his defensive guard, which is not reflex based.

Quillin doesn't 'blow away' Winky. Stylistically it would be a challenge for him. Geale is a good shout, but there's no way he's coming out of witness protection to fight on an undercard against a guy who's unknown.

Just seen that the Winky fight is back on again. But it's ganna be on Showtime and the Tarver/Kayode bill and not Mayweather/Cotto. The saga continues...

    Again, not reflexive based.
