So it was a big night for boxing, and I gotta say I'm disappointed. Not entirely, but we ended up with 3 blow-outs last night.

I left thinking the same thing of Pavlik, a talent, poorish defense, chin too high, but fantastic ability to throw so many different types of punches, and really good strong hard shots.

I came away VERY impressed still by JuanMa, this was a pick 'em for me, as I wasn't sure that JuanMa could handle the pressure from Ponce, ended up that didn't matter. Great win, but not a great fight.

Williams did what he had to to do, and what I think he could have done in the 1st fight if he tried. The one thing it proved is that when Williams is motivated, he's a force, and can give ANYONE trouble at 147. Quintana showed he is 2nd tier, and that's where he belongs, but he atleast can retire saying he was a champ.

Mora v Forrest was pathetic, Forrest needs to hang them up, and Mora is a terrible guy to watch.

So in the end 3 out of the 4 matchs were actionpacked, but in the end:

    We had no great fights.

A couple career highlight reel shots, but no great fights.

We love some 1st round KO's, but I like them when we also get a nice war to go along with it.

Pavlik went the way I thought it would, over in 3 or 4 rounds with Lockett on the canvas.

But I was shocked to see Williams dismantle Quintana, especially in the 1st round. I thought JuanMa would win aswell but again not in a round. And I'm amazed Mora beat Forrest.
