I've only seen him fight for the vacant title and it was meh. I'd like to see more. I agree with a few here dude looks like Margarito haha
His subtle head movement on the inside when he's throwing his body combinations has something Barrera esque about it. You can tell he's the definition of a naturally born fighter. He just has the lust for combat and the instincts to do what he pleases inside the ropes.
Right on, some positive feedback. I'm a huge fan of boxing but wouldn't exactly call myself an expert on technique so it was good to hear some other opinions. Thanks for posting the old RBR, IB. I like how he covers up well and waits for the opponent to be finished, then switches back to offense almost seamlessly.
His dismantlement of Eric Morel--albeit a past-it version--was very impressive. Wonder how long it takes him to go to 122 for a payday? :think
Really good combination puncher. Rare blend of high workrate and good accuracy. Pretty impressive defense on the way in. Not necessarily a one punch KO artist, but like IB and Shane have stated his punches are sharp enough and powerful enough to force stoppages through sheer accumulation, no matter how durable the opponent might be. I wouldn't go so far as to make him a favorite over any of the other titleholders at 118, but by the same token I think he stands a very good chance of defeating any of them if fights were to be made in the near future.
He does. The types of punches he prefers to bombard opponents with aren't usually one-hitters (yeah, more of a grinder who targets specific locations - usually on the body), but he certainly has the pop to get most guys his weight TFO of there with a single blow if he touched the sweet spot.
