Thoughts on Macklin's Future?

HBO seem to like both of them so I do wonder if they'll push for Macklin v Golovkin, perhaps the main undercard of the next big PPV or something.

 

Well, he is capable of winning a world title. He should have a belt round his waist now if it was not for some home cooking.
Id love to see him as world champ.

 

I think its against the law for these fights to happen. Still can't believe these 4 haven't met.

He has every chance of picking up a belt if he can get a fight with Geale.

 

Macklin has (good:bbb)exposure on HBO now, Geale might well be tempted to fight him now. What the story with Sturm though, does he have a rematch clause with Geale?? I assume he has.

Martinez would make alot more money from rematch with cheat JCCJ, so can't see that happening.

GGG v Macklin could happen. Macklin certainly ain't afraid of anybody.

Barker is injured so that fight won't happen.

DiBella promotes both Lee and Macklin, so that fight can be made easy. Irish fans would prefer to see it in Ireland, but fight would be better in the US as an undercard on Martinez next fight.

A fight with Sturm don't make sense now. Macklin beat him before and was robbed. Sturm doesn't have his pseudo-belt no more so fúck him.

Murray and Billy Joe Saunders. Forget them....

Martinez is out and I doubt Hearn would have the $$$ to make the Murray offer worth while.

Decent world level operator but not pushing the top 5 in the division at all. He wont win a world title I'm pretty sure of that

 

Geale is the fight he should look for, good winnable fight for him and if he takes Geales belts it would legitimise the Martinez rematch he's after.

 

Who is then?

Martinez, Chavez, Geale, Golovkin..and I'd have Macklin above Sturm.

 

People like murray and barker are scared to touch macklin cause there chances of a fight in america against a top 5 would be ruined if they fort and lost to him.

You do realise he fought Martinez right? And was going to go to Russia to fight Pirog before getting injured.
