I predicted a JMM win via UD. I thought the fight would be somewhat close, but that the judges would be extra careful (perhaps TOO careful) to give Marquez a fair shake. After the 3rd round knockdown, I was thinking Pac probably would end of getting KO'd or tentative. After the 5th, and most of the 6th, I was thinking that Pac might be the one to get a stoppage, but that he'd better be careful, then it happened. The house I was watching in was very loud, and at first I thought Pac went down from a low blow, the way his arms were down by his groin as he laid there. I saw Bayless wave it off, and was wondering what the hell happened. Wasn't until the replay that I realized Pac had got pole-axed...

...JMM may as well go out on this one. He couldn't possibly top it, certainly not against Mayweather, who'd beat him even worse than he did the first time. People are forgetting how easily FMJ beat JMM, and he did it w/o using his size advantage.

For me JMM is top 4 P4P and should get a rematch with FMJ. He added power and endurance to his game and was able to destroy Pacquiao with a devastating punch.

The problem with Mayweather-Marquez was the power and size. Marquez has added both and is now one of the best fighters in the world. If Mayweather wants a top tier opponent then he should select him.

Good post. I dont care if Marquez didnt win a rd vs Floyd. It was a very underrated win for Floyd in my eyes and i think Marquez gave him very difficult time. I saw Floyd trying to set traps for Marquez and Marquez effectively landing a quick jab, straiht right hand. I see a more confident Marquez and less confident Floyd in the rematch. And skill wise, Marquez is just as brilliant. Athletic wise or natural talent wise no. But Marquez has always had more power, is a better finisher and has now carried those attributes up to 147.

Im not saying Marquez will win but i am saying this version of him will put up a MUCH better fight and nobody deserves it more than him.

I'll have to watch it again, you may have a point about his foot. He started standing more still instead of circling out. But I think he was tired and having difficulty maintaining composure when Manny was coming on. I think he'd have to build himself differently for the Floyd fight. But then again, so many of his shots were knockout attempts. This is why I want to see him against someone quick like Bradley, so he can show off the footwork and handspeed he showed in the 3rd.
