Nah I would not want to see it but would be happy to see him given another chance none the less, still favor Mayweather stylistically, but think JMM can make it a bit more interesting the thing is style wise marquez a counter puncher he is not gonna turn into a boxer puncher late into his career.

He needs Bradley or Danny GArcia, that;s about it. **** let let cotto take Paulies belt and fight JMM at 147

Let's not get carried away here. What Marquez did was sensational!!!! Then again in a round or two that may have been him face down on the mat because Manny's shots were hurting him. That being said, Marquez would be a fool to fight Floyd again. He was asked about a re-match shortly after the first fight and he said no. Floyd is just on a totally different level. JMM would get clobbered AGAIN. Being able to say you won a round or two more than the last time proves what? Then again Floyd wouldn't be coming off a two year layoff, and there would be no catch weight because he fought Pac at 147. I can see the OP is giddy that Marquez won, but in a day or two when the high wears off I'm sure he will see how ridiculous the notion of a second Mayweather fight is. Unless JMM wants to take another one sided beating just to cash out and retire..

 Don't make me try to bring up all the failed ass predictions you've posted on here chump.

All you do is dickride Floyd on this forum, nobody takes you seriously. Citing compubox? What a strategy :patsch Marquez has the capacity to improve his performance by taking what worked and focusing his regimen on maximizing the physical assets that were missing. Pacquiao looked great, JMM looked trained for a KO; nobody is assuming he'd have success doing the same thing. He might still lose, who cares? The overhand right landed flush a good number of times, stop getting all butthurt everytime somebody mentions a weakness against Floyd. I said Floyd clearly landed more punches in each round, stop making **** up, I never implied just a few separated them.

Ghost or Canelo have a better shot against Floyd than does JMM. Marquez is the better fighter of the three...no doubt about that, but as it stands today, Ghost or Canelo present a greater challenge for various reasons.

    Ghost:
    1. Can counter punch, but showed in his last fight that he can press and make a fight ugly while remaining effective. He also demonstrated that he has a great chin and PBF would struggle to back him up assuming Robert elected to press the fight. I would favor PBF, but Robert could trouble PBF because he has a wider range of styles to draw from and has shown to be solid using any of them. I also believe he would be the most hungry of all the above referenced fighters, he is willing to give all he has to win the fight.

    Canelo:
    1. Physically he's a beast...he has shown progression defensively and isn't as easy to hit as he once was. Offensively he's cut down on his wasted punches, has started really sitting down on his punches, and has shown the willingness to work an opponents body. I don't think PBF could muscle him around, and if PBF legs are as worn as some speculate, this would be the most difficult fight of the three...by far.

    JMM:
    1. We've seen it, even at this point in these guys careers PBF is the bigger, stronger, faster guy, with equal or greater "craft" and "skill level", there's essentially nothing JMM brings to the table that would be an "edge" over PBF. Maybe he's wins a round or two more than the first fight, but I even question that, Floyd toyed with him at times and clearly demonstrated that he's the better fighter.

No being able to land 2 or 3 right hands in a 12 round fight does not constitute success. Again as a trainer you would be horrible. You do this with every figh you do not take into a account what the opponent can do to you. Same thing you do with Cotto. You fail to see what the opponent can do to you nor what it takes to actually win a fight. A fight isnt won on a few successes. For example Cotto being a me to land a few jabs here and there on Mayweather looks pretty but what about the other 90% of the fight. Is there a follow up, how many times is he gettin hit to land that one jab

Same thing applies here. Yes Marquez landed a few punches but to the overall context of the fight its meaningless.

If Marquez were to fight Mayweather he should start with how to avoid gettin peppered with 100+ jabs at 60% connect rate before he thinks about landing that one right hand

They are both smart fighters but Mayweather is smarter. Jaun may win more than 1 round if they were to fight again and it may be more competitive but don't see the result changing. People are forgetting, Pacquaio and Marquez were in their 4TH fight, familiarity was key and a big part of why he was able to time Pacquiao, and stylistically, Mayweather is just as bad as a matchup for Marquez, as Marquez was for Pacquiao.

JMM-Floyd 2 will be a monumental waste of time for both fighters. JMM should fight Rios in a great fight while Floyd should fight Guerrero or Canelo. If he fights and beats Canelo I don't see any logical reason to keep avoiding Sergio (a part that Sergio is both big and good)

Learn to read you dumb ****, I always show what the other side can do and give a balanced analysis of what could possibly work. With Mayweather, we ALREADY KNOW what he can do, why the **** am I gonna right a paragraph on something we've seen unless I'm trying to imagine a way around it? What Marquez landed was largely insignificant, but you have to start somewhere if you're going to imagine success. Stop acting like I'm verbally abusing your ****in husband or some ****. It's a goddamn boxing forum son.

I said Cotto would control the center and likely lose a competitive decision. You talked about Floyd neutralizing his jab, walking him down, and stoppin him, with Cotto doing no better than Victor Ortiz. Who was more right?

Step in a ring once in your life before you start talking about who would make a good trainer  You and the ***** brigade are the ones who are always unimaginative like "nah. no chance." I can just see you telling your fighter that after losing a lopsided decision.

I seem to remember a consensus that Pac-JMM IV was a monumental waste of time for the fans and that nobody should buy.

I don't know if PBF is smarter than JMM. I do know that JMM is harder now due to training (not accusing him of PEDs) and that he's an exceptional p4p talent.

So I see it like this:

    Mayweather: Speed, athleticism, size
    Marquez: Heart

Up in the air: Endurance, Intelligence, Skill, Power

    It's a good fight.

So instead of focusing on taking away Mayweathers jab and closing the distance without taking punishment you want Marquez to focus on landing more right hands.

As Brother nAzim said its not hitting Mayweather thats the problem its what you do after he adjusts. Having a second of success in a 12 round fight isnt gonna help you.

9-3 9-3 and 10-2 is a competitive decision to you?

Cotto landed 30 of 177 jabs thrown. 17%. He landed 2 jabs in the last 3 rounds. I believe that is the definition of neutralized.

And how did he control the center of the ring except maybe 15 seconds in the 6th. He almost got kod in the center of the ring. :rofl

In my avatar bet thread i said Mayweather would land twice as many jabs and Cotto would win 2 rounds. I was pretty accurate.

I don't like to spend hours sounding like a jackass analyzing **** that'll never come into play in a fight just to sound intelligent like you.

Yeah im sure the compubox people missed the 20 jabs Cotto landed each round.
