Thoughts on Marquez's ko over Pac and a Mayweather REMATCH

Floyd will not fight as aggressively as Pac. It is clear that Pac wanted to take it out of the judges hands after his last two fights. I mean, he beat the snot out of Bradley only to have Arum organise his own future. He was way too reckless but if that punch doesn't land JMM could have been out of there in the next round.

Props to JMM, probably the most unheralded champion of this generation. He went up 12 pounds to fight Gayweather who then fought like a lamb. Imagine Floyd if Manny came to rumble like he did in JMM 4? He would definitely be looking for a judges decision and nothing more.

Look here, Marquez deserves props without of doubt but this thread is just soo wrong on every level and heres why Mayweather style is far different then Pacquiao style. You think mayweather will come forward and just be as aggressive like Pacquiao did? If so then you need to slap yourself. Mayweather will easily beat Marquez like the first fight.

 

What? What fight were you watching? Cotto had a few moments but was beaten pretty convincingly!! It wasn't a close fight and not overly competitive. I bet you thought the Mayweather-DLH fight was "close" too huh?

 

Marquez has 0 chance vs Mayweather. Mayweather is better at everything. Marquez is a counter puncher and vs Pac he looks good because Pac initiates every exchange, vs Mayweather he looked like an amateur and landed about 3 shots.

 

I'm glad nobody except a portion of Marquez fans believe in a Mayweather-Marquez rematch. Marquez don't even believe in a rematch.

I question Marquez having more heart. Juan was visibly discouraged between rounds when he fought Mayweather. Then take a look at his face once he got up from Mayweather knocking him down. We haven't seen Floyd discouraged once in his career. Shane hits him with the hardest shot he's felt in his career, and he responds by trying to win the rest of the round.

Floyd injured his hand vs Carlos Hernandez and immediately says, "I can't quit", upon returning to his corner. He maintained his focus and composure against Castillo to the very end despite his injuries as he was in his hardest fight thus far.

Marquez is four years older than Floyd and very close to forty giving him a disadvantage in stamina. His style can sometimes be flashy wheres Floyd is super economical.

It took Marquez at least a third of the fight to figure Casamayor out. The longest it has taken Mayweather to crack a code was two rounds in the Judah fight. Marquez fell for Floyd's trap in their fight and found his ass kissing the canvas. There lies the difference in ring IQ.

Mayweather's vastly superior defense is enough to cause a skill disparity between them.

I'm not worried about power. Who hits harder doesn't win fights very often at the elite level. pacquiao has more power than Marquez, but it was pacquiao's face making out with the canvas at the end of the night on Dec 8th.
