I dont normally post here, but here ya go. Sup brothers! :smoke Just watched Floyds media day workout. He is looking BEAST on the mitts. I really believe he is training for the knockout. The intensity of his body punch combos and his snappy hard jab...hes lookin to do some serious damage in this fight. However Maidana is also looking quite vicious with his bodywork and chopping, awkward overhand rights. http://youtube/pGDThslZ6Z4 http://youtube/Doc_JBY50gE Now i wanna talk about Alex Ariza. Maidana is having the camp of his life and looks to be doing everything Ariza says. Im not exactly sure what type of conditioning program Ariza has( believe it involves plyometrics?) Ive only seen guys like Ariza and Heredia do this type of training. But it seems to involve targeting certain muscles, twitch like functions to create a rapid, explosiveness all while maintaning speed and adding more power. Im not an expert but thats what it seems to me. Ive heard it takes a toll on your body and is extremely difficult to do. I used to see Pac give the same agonzing facial expressions as in the Maidana vid below, while Ariza stretched his arms and neck out in a way i dont normally see in other camps. Heres a clip http://youtube/JzPq0kUrep0 According to Ariza, Pacquiao was no longer following this program, and Mprior to being knocked out by Marquez. This must have played a major roll in Pacquiaos stamina and explosiveness. Pac states he let off the gas in the first Bradley fight. But we all saw the fatigue which was not apparent before. Maybe it was Bradleys movement and defense but Khan has also suffered in strength and punch resistance since losing Ariza. Okay now to get to my point. Floyd is fully aware and even sounds somewhat concerned about Alex Ariza, pointing out the success he has had with Pac and Khan and now Maidana with hi win over Broner.. Heres the clip http://youtube/o5RdxWUwEFc Even Leonard Ellerbe paid a surprise visit to the Maidana camp to get a first hand look at the amazing training camp Maidanais having thus far. Its also on record that Maidana only had 3 weeks of training with Ariza for the Broner fight. This has been a solid 8 weeks with him and with all of Garcias attention http://youtube/K60oedOZLOw You have to admit Robert has done an phenomenal job with Marcos. Maidanas feint jab to the body, loop to a left hook up top was a thing of beauty vs Broner. Also Maidana has a way of throwinf the most awkward chopping over hand right that i believe is effective vs the shoulder roll. The body shot that put Broner down for the second time(yes it was the body shot, not the punch up top, that made Broners legs buckle and crumble to the canvas. Maidanas jab and defense has improved. Hes bending at the weight more, making himself small, no longer lunging in with the jab, thowing it diff ways etc and using more head movement. The Garcia gym has made Maidana fall in love with boxing again. Marcos nearly retire prior to joining Robert. So a full camp with Robert and Ariza, 0 distractions. Theyre having fun 100% confident in their work, this is going to be a real fight. Floyd knows this. He knows he will have to knock Marcos out first. Sure you may see different looks but Floyd is coming to destroy and vice versa. At first i thought, Floyds gonna kill this dude but with the camp Marcos is having with a world class team, and to be quite honest, they dont make fighters like Maidana anymore. He is ruthless and a killer. Robert cleaned up his rabbit punching but nonetheless, a destroyer. Also Floyd admits being hurt, elbow vs Canelo(which may be from Canelo beating the **** outta that elbow and also hurt his hand from Guerreros face running into it one too many times. http://youtube/82Zko9tbHcE We already know what Floyd can do but keep in mind, Maidana aint slow on his feet like a Canelo or Guerrero. Hatton posed problems with his foot and hand speed which maidana will have. But Maidana isnt a mauler like Hatton, but an extremely heavy handed and id say clever fighter. Hes got shots that come outta nowhere at times. I dont believe backing up and moving away from a guy like Maidana is the key to victory. Khan tried that and nearly got his head taken off. Floyd will step in, crowd Maidanas work and now allow those wild overhands and around the guard type shots to land. When Floyds not landing that razor sharp jab or laser lead right, he will crush your body on the inside. Maidana will negate the lead right and very possibly the jab as Floyd will have to be cautious at first. I see Maidana using some Chavez Sr. movesas far as the footwork, and punch combinations from awkward angles, but once Floyd slows him down with that bodywork on the inside, he will pick him apart with his bread and butter on the outside and rinse n repeat. However...like i said, Maidana has had the camp of his life. I see him holding up, giving a hell of a toll taking fight and making it the distance in a very competitive bout. Both fighters are in for the fight of their lives! http://youtube/ccneE58qjyw http://youtube/KU33imVcBRg http://youtu.be/zeFLHrBnT24
I enjoy that you, unlike others, show some respect for Maidana:good I really like Maidana but even as he was standing in the ring after beating Broner I was praying for him to not speak Floyd's name:roll: Floyd is going to face some tough rounds early on with Maidana but then I just see him providing a boxing lesson to Maidana:? :smoke
Yeah it's the lack of Ariza's Conditioning "Program" that was the cause of Pac's and Khan's stamina and lack of power issues Ariza is a shady **** and whatever he had those guys on, when they got off of it they dumped. Anyone that believes otherwise is being silly :deal
so you agree unroided granpa mosley was **** when pedjr fought him? thanks. btw, he was off for 2 yrs too.:good and umm, seems like ariza's shake didnt work on rios:hi: is this another case of ***** logic? or *****s are just delusional ****s who see ufo;'s in the sky instead of clouds?
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/freddi...ack-unfair-manny-pacquiao-161100022--box.html Read 4th Paragraph down :deal Freddie Roach is awesome, he has basically confirmed every single theory about the Pac camp in the past 1/2 decade with his over-honest interviews First he admitted that they ducked Mosley after Mosley beat Margo because he was "too dangerous", but fought him later because they saw decline in him. And now this. :good
