Yeah Salido would always step over into his right hand and switch, few fighters switch so fluidly, though it kind of backfired on him against Mikey when he made him reach and caught him squared up. Floyd isn't a swarmer by any means, but he's more accurate. I think in terms of the inside, Guerrero should ambush and throw those 5-6 punch combinations and back the **** out. If he stays there he loses IMO.

because just because something is the right gameplan, doesn't mean it's the one they're going to use. There is this misconception that everybody must watch Castillo and copy him to beat Floyd. Now Cotto helped add fire to that and I think Guerrero is going to try to copy what the both of them did. Plus I've seen his interviews leading up to the fight and it just seems like he plans on doing what he did with Berto against Floyd

yeah I've been worried too that Floyd could show some big signs of slippage as well in this fight. His body is different now than it was when he went into jail. Idk if it's going to be a real factor, but who knows.
But from whatever we conclude, it looks like this will be a high contact fight

Something that is being looked past is Guerrero's bad stamina. He usually falls into his "mauling mode" primarily, due to his pretty crap gas tank.

I havnt heard Guerrero say anything about coming forward/pressuring Floyd or roughing him up. All he said was toe-to-toe and that was it..

It's just the various interviews and I've pieced together information. He of course hasn't given away his gameplan yet, but whenever he talks about this fight, it seems to be about aggressiveness, or about how tough and rough he is. Stuff like that. If I can come up with an example, I'll show u

If anything Cotto has shown much more stamina issues than what ive seen from Guerrero. Guerrero looked great in rds 11 and 12 vs Berto. I didnt notice any major stamina issues there.

LOL at Floyd walking down Pacquaio. Of course that's why he ducked his ass.

    That's cause you don't look.

Berto(e) is all too happy to clinch and rest on the ropes cause his stamina is **** as well. And it's why Ortiz overall, looked more impressive against Berto(e). Ortiz had the stamina to keep punching on Berto(e) when he would gas out on the ropes. Guerrero in stark contrast, would simply lean on Berto with slapping punches to get points and eat uppercuts, not cause that was a strategy (no strategy calls for you to eat flush shots while leaning on an opponent), but because he didn't have the stamina to keep putting in the work that at least could've gotten him another knockdown or potential stoppage.

Cotto(e) doesn't have elite stamina, but he has good stamina. More than anything, he has shown poor stamina management in the past. Cotto(e) only really gasses against pressure (Clottey, Margarito(e)), like a lot of other fighters do. Cotto(e) is also known to move a whole hell of a lot more than Guerrero.

Great thread so far guys. I'll definitely now have a lot more insight and things to look for when I go try to break this fight down.

Ok thanks for the input thawk. I dont see his stamina being an issue as long as he doesnt take too many punches to the body early in the fight

Guerrero has the style and gameplan to get an ass beating. This is going to be the best Floyd has looked since Marquez, and many haters will cry wtf why doesn't this negro age!?!?!?!
