That just isn't true beyond theory. If that has everything to do with it why don't you list some of the fights with southpaws that he smashed? All with his right cross.

When has there been a need to "adjust" other than lighting fast Judah? On what planet does Guerrero have anywhere near the speed or countering ability of Judah? Mayweather's sneaky lead right is probably the best in Boxing right now. He throws that shot and rolls right out of danger like it is second nature. Guerrero is going to be popped at will unless G puts his guard up and closes distance.

Where is G going to pivot too? In space G is fidducked. Mayweather is faster, has better timing, better reach, and a better "long" arsenal of jabs/crosses. G will have to quickly cut distance and for that he will pay. On the inside then what? Again, Mayweather's uppercut is one of the best in the business. If you are saying volume is G's strength, I will say this is his weakness. He is going to have to punch hard, constantly, and from various angles to stop Mayweather from waiting and countering. To land effectively with both hands he will also most likely square up and this is not Berto's defense. If he runs out of gas, where does he rest? In close? Step out? Again, he is trapped.

I like G, but other than being teak tough, he doesn't bring anything to the table that will trouble Mayweather. That isn't a knock on Guerrero, but EVERY guy who has given Mayweather problems has some insanely disproportionate gift/ability. G is just a well balanced guy who fights well.

I found the lead or straight generally gets the better of it when it's going against a hook.

Floyd hasn't shown any signs of being susceptible to a southpaw right hook to the body. Ortiz and Zab both got in about 2-3 of em, but that was it

Thats the point, Floyd doesnt use the shoulder roll vs southpaws. Vs Ortiz he did at times but Victor is not a natural southpaw and when he did use it while backing up he ate some left hands to the body and some big right hooks from Ortiz while pulling straight back. The jab and right hook doesnt always have to land to be effective because it keeps Floyd occupied. Rarely you see Floyd walk into head-snapping crosses as both Corley and Judah landed their left hands, at times never even seeing the punch and being visibly shook for a second which is not typical Floyd. Id say Guerrero has a better jab than Zab or Corley and is better at stepping around his opponent which will allow him to land his left hand more often since Floyd refuses to circle away from it.

The fact that Zab is the best southpaw Floyd has ever fought makes it even more interesting. And Guerrero is not.known to get tagged with lead right hands up top very often. He avoids that punch farely well mostly by ducking it or staying out of range. And where is he gonna pivot? He circles to his right, away from the right hand and is exfremely consistant at turning his opponent, allowing him to step out of harms way and back to his comfortable range. Hes got a lot going for him. I think ur really overlooking how versatile Guerrero can be in there.

    This is madness man!

Guerrero shares ZERO in common with Judah or prime Corley! G isn't anywhere near as fast or quick with counters. Guerrero's speed is more in line with Ortiz' The lead right hand was there all day.

I like Guerrero, but the dude's footwork is not that great. He was flat footed against Aydin. Hell he even fought close with Berto. He will not step anywhere that gives FMJ a problem.

It was the speed and the options to counter the speed brought, not the stance. The trouble fights Mayweather has had come from both stances. It is all about the fitghter.

I really like Guerrero. I defend him getting this fight because I really feel he deserves it. I saw the Berto fight and he earned it. I just realize that to beat Mayweather you need to be more than "solid". G is just solid.

Its Corley and Zab were talking about. I like Judah but u can put money on him falling apart after 4 rds. Mayweathers team even said so going into the fight. Guerrero has more versatility than those guys and hes a hell of a lot tougher too. Ortiz has a terrible jab and was being timed all night cuz of it. Thats not gonna happen to Guerrero. His footwork is effective and he can move well. Guerrero wont just stand there in the pocket and trade like Judah or Corley, he almost always steps around and gets out. He wont try to fight inside like he did Berto unless he finds success in doing so which is possible but gives Floyd more of an advantage than if he were to stay at a distance.

Let's all remember that this is probably the worst Southpaw he's ever fought (aside from that dude in his second fight). Judah, Corley, Ortiz, even Mitchell were probably more skilled.

The other Jesus Chavez and Bobby Geibert were also lefties. Anyway, I think it's pretty clear that Mayweather does just fine against lefties.

Jesus Chavez was a beast and fought his heart out.

He obviously does fine as he's beat them all but the straight left is probably the most frequently landed punch, aside from maybe the jab. Guerrero is the exception, not the rule, because without his lead hand he was useless.
