I do think Floyd needs to fight another champ at WW. People always push for other fighters in different weight classes to fight other champs but when Floyd wants to fight another champion who is a legitimate champion, its a problem. Do I think Alexander can beat Mayweather? Not at all, but that doesnt mean it doesnt need to happen. Anything can happen in a fight. Alexander is a good young southpaw who has only one loss and thats to the other AA champion, Timothy Bradley

The fight everyone want's Mayweather to have next is vs. Alvarez. I think that fight is next, but if something happens and the fight can't be made. Devon Alexander is a logical second choice. Provided he wins against Lee Purdy in 2 weeks.

What dose Alexander bring to the table? For starters the IBF welterweight championship. It could be a unification bout. He's been in with some of the better boxers at 140 and 147. Yes he has a cupple of very close wins. His only loss is to Bradley who's a top 10 pound for pounder in the eyes of a lot of people who fallow the sport.

Do I see this as a compitive fight? No, but I'd be saying that about anyone Mayweather could fight in September. Being bettter dosen't make the fight a cherry pick. Just like Guerrero Alexander has placed himself in poisition for this bout. Just because Mayweather's so much better than anyone he can fight. dose not make it a cherry pick.

Is he better than Mayweather's last foe Guerrero? I think he's a diffrent boxer. I think it's pretty clear he's a coverted southpaw. He throws really good and hard lead right jabs and hooks. Can stop people with either. His left hand is pretty much non exestant. Alexander has good power which is always an x-factor, but it's only in one hand.

He only has one official loss but, many people think he should have at least one more on his record to either Kotelnik or Matthysse, some have him losing both.

No, it would be a snoozer; although, I think it would've been more competitive than Floyd/Guerrero was.
