He was probably talking world wide, not just US buys. Also, they had a massive amount of buys. A fight can only sell so much. There are only so many people willing to buy PPV fights in the world. You also have to consider how many places ordered the fight, and charged people to come into their establishment and watch the fight. Places everywhere were packed with viewers. Let alone the fact that most people had fight parties (as I did) with several people all in the same house watching the fight. I would love to know the actual number of eyes that were watching that fight. Of course, we will never know that figure.
Conor McGregor has been a bustling kid since losing to Floyd Mayweather in a generally uneven (however not embarrassingly so) battle in Las Vegas two or three weeks back. Mayweather versus McGregor, an occasion which wasn’t downplayed or underhyped no doubt, may wind up being the best pay-per-see battle ever, and left the two contenders with truly robust ledgers.
Who cares now Canelo and GGG just showed Conor how it`s done and he was their weight or heavier by the time he fought Floyd.
Dana White will only release part of the numbers but even they clearly show that the numbers are HUUUGE.
