Cringeworthy that so many bought into this crap. Next up, Phelps in a indoor swimming contest against one of the world's best triathletes on PPV. Wonder who would win?!
It's mind boggling to me too. I don't even think I can give McGregor the second round because he revealed his true colors as he had nothing for Floyd but illegal rabbit punches. That's the act of a desperate man. And round 8? Mayweather beat the hell outta McGregor in round 8. He was landing shots that later contributed to a brain injury sustained by McGregor. These fans on here are delusional. Maybe McGregor can fight the winner of GGG and Canelo and then claim that he just decided to take a nap in the ring as a punch connected. You know because he get's a little "wobbly and floaty." No big deal.
It's the other way around. McGregor talked all that **** about how he would bust up Mayweather easy and instead got walked down like a punk and knocked out by a "tiny man." Of course the press "white washed" everything to make it look like McGregor is some kind of hero.
what's the other way around? how the phuk does this tie in with anything i posted? who gaf what mcgregor said before the fight? did you expect him to say " i really hope i can last 12 against floyd"? and what does what the press says have anything to do with what happened? like youre any better than the press, trying to wash what happened to a shade that youre comfortable with. how about you just tell it like it happened and deal with reality? how about that?
The number of UK Mugs is astonishing and they keep coming back for more mugging. An Exhibition fight breaking UK records - bring on AJ v the WWE Champion the mugs say
If it broke Mayweather/Pac or Joshua/Klitschko in the Uk,it will be worrying what Sky,Showtime will do they will encourage more of these type of fights and look to increase prices given it is already a success they will get more cocky.
Na the novelty wouldn't last long. I think they know it's a one time thing. You won't be seeing anymore things like this. This could work as you had a huge star in boxing and then the biggest star in MMA. You had two guys who could sell the fight. It's not something you'll see again.
Can easily forsee a David Haye or Fury pick a fight with one of the more known UK MMA fighters, produce another 30 mins of scripted acting and the mugs are reeled in again for PPV.
I think McGregor has good qualities, but he also operates like a bully. All this could be put aside if McGregor decides to fight someone else. Surely, the guy that was competitive with Mayweather could be competitive with the winner of GGG vs Canelo right? If not, then why are we having this discussion? If so, then why not sign up to fight one of these guys and the result will speak volumes about the truth that occurred in the ring against Mayweather. I already suggested Lara, but that wasn't enough. So now, why not fight GGG vs Canelo. After all, Mayweather put on a rather one sided production, so surely the man who had Mayweather in "trouble" could hang for at least a round or two with GGG or Canelo? I mean, I don't wish harm upon this man, but if he truly believes he can hang, then why not go for it? Worse thing that happens is you quit and the fight is called off. He still gets paid an enormous sum of money, although he may hear some ridicule from people who acknowledge his bully mentality that quits when he feels as if he is being completely outmatched and overpowered. Even at the conclusion of Diaz vs McGregor II, Diaz appeared to be on his way to victory, with McGregor on his back about to receive a series of unstoppable, viscious punches, similarly to how Mayweather had him in boxing. We all have our own interpretations of the fight, but McGregor could solidify this by taking on another top fighter. I thought Lara was the best suggestion to test out this theory that McGregor is a KO machine at range. I too am interested, so why not? If he could have survived Mayweather with better conditioning, perhaps he can survive Lara. Or perhaps not. At the end of the day, I hope nobody gets hurt.
Floyd Sr. and other anonymous members of Floyds' training entourage have said in multiple recent interviews that he spent every night at his night club, didn't spar for 4 weeks before the fight, and only did light training on the speed bag and mitts. There was no roadwork in this camp. ...still grinded him down and chopped him up like we all thought.
Connor gave Floyd the key to victory by revealing that he was going to fight him based on what he had observed Floyd doing in all his previous fights. The inevitable reaction to that threat should have been more than obvious to the Connor team unless they are brain dead or faking it.
here are several posts i made pre fight. completely consistent with what ive been saying post fight... and i didnt need to twist or spin anything to appear like i knew what i was talking about. fact is, the majority of nerds on here have no idea about boxing or fighting in general, they can memorize statistics, watch dozens of fights and study boxrec for days, but they have no idea how to apply the knowledge they come across. "floyd should win, even as past prime as he is. but it's not going to look like the 2 sides expect. both sides are being blown up bigger than they really are at this point in time. both sides will claim a victory after the fight for different reasons, and none will admit being wrong about anything." "thats what i find so hilarious, the mere thought of conor even having a chance is taken as an affront to their personal credibility. i dont think conor is going to win, but it wouldnt really shock me if he did, given the circumstances. just give each man whats his and let truth come out in the wash." "why are some of you guys so threatened by this? floyd is old and fighting a very talented fighter in his prime who is substantially bigger than him. floyd losing isnt the end of the world unless one upping the mma fanboys is that high on your wish list. beating floyd doesnt mean conor would beat a champion boxer his size, it just means conor outmayweathered floyd, lol."
Way over 1m buys I reckon. The promotion and hype for it would be out of this world. Fury is just as big a name as Joshua in UK.
