I believe Miguel Angel Cotto gave mayweather the toughest hes ever had. The scores were off. I belive it was a much closer fight. Cotto exposed Mayweather. not a 118-111 fight. I would have put it at 118-116 May. Cotto however is not finished. I give him Canelo for his next fight. it's unbelievable how he has gotten himself in his best form for floyd. most of floyd's opponents step up anyway. still, cotto lost widely to floyd. it ain't even close. floyd just made it interesting by staying in the pockets but for the most part, it was a clear win by floyd.

I said he'd do well against Floyd at 154. The guy is criminally underrated. Just because you lose bad doesn't mean you can't learn.

I hope us young guys learn from in when facing adversity.

Feel sorry for Cotto, it was a close fight but cuz Mayweather edged most the rounds the score cards fell in his favour making for quite a wide points margin.

He did far better than i thought, against the best boxer on the planet, against anybody else that could of been a win for him last week.

However hes not very fast and is basic, like Ricky Hatton when your that good at being a brawler type it can take you a long way in the sport but i wont take you past a Mayweather or a Pacquiao.

I have to admit i thought he was lookin a bit shot but last week proved me wrong.

He's very good, but not great. He was not compitive against Mayweather. He had moments in the middle rounds, bujt only really deserved the 8th due to Mayweather's lack of action. He spent the other 11 rounds including the ones he at times looked good in getting beat up.

Are you serious? Miguel Cotto is no brawler - he is one of the most versatile fighters in the game right now.

Uh.. I say it probably backfires. Canelo impressed me last week and it seems he'll only be getting better with every fight now.

Cotto was drained in his fight with pac, cheated in his fight with margo. Funny thing is all the people now saying that floyd was exposed. I was one of the few that thought cotto had a shot at winning. Cotto is a good fight who floyd beat clearly and clean with no ifs and buts

Cotto is a far superior fighter to Hatton in nearly every department. He is a harder puncher, has better punch variety, is more intelligent in the ring, has better defence, a better chin, FAR better boxing skills, is bigger, stronger, more adaptable. Everything. Cotto is far more than a brawler - he outboxed Mayweather with his jab during stretches of the fight with him and he boxed beautifully against Margarito in the second fight. Cotto can actually feint a guy to land punches with consistency, Hatton did that only very occasionally. Hatton applied ridiculous pressure I'll give him that, and his footwork was faster, as were his hands. But he blocked punches with his face and that's why he fell down at top level.

The fight was much closer than you think. mayweather beat cotto no doubt about it. it looks dumb but its smart when you win by throwing powder puff punches just to land more. If you look at the fight again. 90% of Floyd's punches were softies that landed and counted. When May throws 30 soft punches and lands 20 of them... they do no damage but still count. Dont get me wrong, he also threw hard punches that hit cotto well, but they were mostly soft punches, its smart boxing. Like what the people on ESPN said.. Mayweather threw powder puff punches, but he is a great boxer, a magician and he did what ever he needed to win. But no doubt about it, he got exposed, and that crap that he said at the end of the fight "i wanted to give people a more entertaining fight" meaning he let cotto hit him is complete crap. Cotto smacked his ass around and gave him a bloody nose.
