Hey guys. I'm trying to work on my body shots. I just wanted to get some constructive criticism other than "omg u suck lol rofl wtf". So feel free to lend me constructive criticism and opinions on this video. I'd like to hear feedback that lends actual tips that I can use. I know I telegraph my hooks a little much and that's something I'm trying to work on.

Make sure your sound is on!

Get to a boxing gym, get your stance correct. This is your base- without a correct stance every punch you throw will be incorrect. Once you have a good base then worry about telegraphing your punches, and the sound the bag makes when you slap it. You drop you right hand every time you throw a left hook to the body, same on the right side- I can't see your feet but i'm guessing your setting yourself incorectly too.

    Get to a gym. :good

Well the good news is that you're not another Charlie Zelenoff.

Really, just go to a gym. Not knocking you, you look like you got some skill but the gym will do so much to improve your everything.

And don't steady out the bag. My trainer told me that you don't try to steady out your opponent, try to land a punch and avoid his

Excellent feedback, thank you. Unfortunately I'm stuck in Northwest Louisiana and there's absolutely no boxing gyms anywhere near where I am. Hopefully when I PCS in the near future I'll be able to find one - otherwise, I'll just have to pay attention to everything I'm doing wrong (thanks to the inputs) and try to correct it myself until then.

You need more rotation through the hips so get the shoulder right across the bag and whip the hook around. Pivot off your feet.

Pivot off your feet with a body shot? Are you sure?

What's wrong with that? I go up on my toe when I throw a good bodyshot, in fact most of my knockdowns in sparring come from a right hook to the body that I pivot on.

Like others have said, you're real wide on your hooks. Around the 30 second mark you threw 3 quick left jabs while circling to your left----that was the best of what I saw since it looked like you were on your toes and moving smoothly and the punches were fairly crisp. You only threw a few classic 1/2's. Try adding the left hook after the straight right for a good 3 punch combination. Another combo I like to see is the left hook to the body, quickly followed up with a left hook to the head.

Another thing I like is having the heavy bag in a more open space. Your movement is limited by the proximity of the wall.
