    Anybody actually watch the fight?

You should watch carefully. From this moment on, Cotto jumped on his bike. That was it. And why did Cotto just back the **** up after Clottey shook that **** off? He felt that ****in granite he was punching and was like "**** that ****"

How many of you guys have watched Clottey vs the southpaw Zab Judah???

I had not seen that fight until a couple of days ago when I decided I needed to see it so that I can judge how well Clottey did against a good southpaw.

I've got to say I was impressed by Clottey's performance against Judah.

Judah is better skilled than Pacquiao, and he was unable to penetrate Clottey's sound shell defense.

....in the process, Clottey did a little of everything, boxed, brawled, and bullied Judah.

I thought Clottey would look significantly slower vs Judah, but that was'nt the case.......Clottey was able to handle and look good in dealing with Judah's speed and quickness.

Always the trouble with Clottey is his inconsistency in fighting 3 minutes of every round, and that indeed may turn out his falling point again against Pacquiao.

......but as far as ability is concerned, I do believe Clottey is more than capable of pulling off an upset.
This fight is no gimme for Pacquiao, and it may very well turn out that he regrets not having agreed to the random drug tests, signed on the dotted line, and went in there PED free to take his beating against Mayweather and collect 30+million dollars.

If you have'nt seen Clottey vs Judah, there is a good and clear 6 part version of it on youtube.

 If Cotto had his head screwed on straight, he'd have stayed on Josh's ass right there until he at least fired back. I can't imagine him just backing off out of nowhere a few years before that, to be honest.

there was a thread were someone was asking who the mentally strongest fighter is today and a lot of people were saying cotto. I agree with you that cotto has lost belief in himself a bit!

    Why do you believe this?

As I mentioned a couple of posts ago, Clottey looked good and caught Judah who is quick and fast, numerous times with clean shots.

He was throwing a good straight right hand in that fight with Judah as well.

It sure helps to back up your opinion, "Clottey will not catch Pac clean.".....and then back it up with examples.

90% of post can't be supported with examples or at least aren't. I agree with you that Clottey's right against Judah was a good punch and that he should use it against Pac.

No objections about the rest, but it was always his priority to give the fans something exciting to watch. It was never about showing how tough he is, or how dominant he can be against an opponent. He even prays for their safety before they fight. Its his dedication to the fans and the sport that makes his fights end up that way, and not a safety first borefest.

he will have to catch him either coming in or going out because while pac is in range and throwning punches, you simply cant trade with him. i dont think clottey has the speed and timing to catch pacquiao before pacquiao catches him and gets back out again!
