At the moment it is looking like the following quarter finals will be set:

    Pool 1
    • Fury v Wilder
    • Whyte v Povetkin
    Pool 2
    • Joshua v Pulev
    • Usyk v Chisora

Under the current format and if things go as scheduled we are looking at a Fury v Usyk final. Not the match up we all want but intriguing none the less. I just do not see anyway Joshua can get past tricky southpaw Usyk, we can only pray and hope for a Dereck Chisora hail Mary.

If you genuinely can see no possible way that Joshua can possibly get past Usyk I suggest you're not trying hard enough.

Also, the world wants Fury Joshua regardless of who you think will win or prefer. Why have two fights put in place before that can happen?

A HW tournament amongst the top elite highest paid fighters is never going to happen. There isnt enough money out there in boxing to make it happen. Unless a super wealthy individual subsidizes it, just because they love boxing.

The best we can hope for is to see the biggest fights. I would love to the following in the next 12 months. But I know it will never happen. We will be lucky to get one of these fights in the next 12 months.

    AJ- Fury
    Usyk- Fury
    Whyte- Wilder
    Dubois- Hrgovic
    AJ- Usyk

I have no interest in seeing the Wilder- Fury rematch either. Why do we need an immediate rematch of a fight where one guy has won both fights, and destroyed the other guy in the 2nd fight. It would not happen in UFC would it?

The Fury Wilder rematch is a farce. I didn't have too much issue with the result in the first but happy to accept most thought Fury won. The rematch was all about settling that score and Tyson absolutely obliterated him.

It was a beating of Calzaghe Lacy / Mayweather Hatton/ Hopkins Pavlik / Lewis Tyson proportions. I picked those fights because they were sold as either fairly close fights, as Fury Wilder was, or you had very keen interest in the outsider, and cases were made for both fighters winning with a lot of publicity generated. End result; one fighter completely dominates, the other wins probably a single round at best, all desire for the rematch goes out of the window.

I would honestly rather see Fury against not just Joshua or Usyk but any of Hunter, Pulev, Povetkin, Parker - even someone like Dubois. A few people go on about Wilder potentially having the punch to end the fight; and? He's had two fights to find it and didn't. I know if they fought enough times eventually he'll clip Fury and that'll be that but in boxing you don't just keep repeating the trick until you get a different result. Time to move on.

Fury Wilder III should only happen if Wilder rebuilds and puts on a run of form to suggest he's learned something new.

Should all mandatories be respected this is how things will play out. With Dillian taking the WBC to court and Usyk refusing step aside i'm not really sure how either fight can be avoided. The other fights in the sequence are already scheduled.

Tell me how you think Joshua can beat Usyk?

So you think that they will try to duck Usyk?

Got bored as soon as I seen the big names in it.

We discussed in another thread how a tournament would be good for Warren so was hoping it was going to be a realistic one like Dubois, Joyce, Gorman, maybe get Hughie in, Allan is a free agent to pad it up, get Bakole in (Hearn has offered him for a Warren show before), throw in a couple of experienced foreign names and Frank has got himself a good few months of boxing there.
