Based on ESB reviews, I expected it to be bad. However, after just catching up on the first two episodes thanks to DVR, to my surprise, I found both shows to be good and have some entertainment factors. Let me highlight those things I find interesting thus far... 1- Drama in Pacquiaos camp... Pacquiao's advisor and trainer getting into a physical altercation. Pacquiao not wanting to leave the Philippines, Roach not wanting to be there, and Pacquiao being held up on training due to the natural disaster. 2 - Team Cotto with the new trainer and Miguel's dad talking about how his relationship with his brother is completely done since the break up between Miguel's uncle and Miguel.
Maybe Pretty Boy Foyd is the best fight seller and he really 'understands' the business after all. He just made a fool of himself in a recent interview, but who knows. Maybe after all, it's not about the fight, but the build up. Boxing fans know he is wrong - but one thing is having a really good fight, the other is to know how to sell it. Pac and Cotto's personalities aren't good for 24x7 - they are both good. You need an antagonist.
The production of 24/7 is really good, like the parts the above poster mentioned. However, i think it would be better if it was a 3-part series. Btw was i the only one who thought Ariza looked like a jealous 11 year old when he said "you get to sit next to Pacquiao all day! :|" If i was Pac, i would've told them right there and then that i would be having none of that **** distracting me before the fight, but he seemed to be in his own world.
