1. Does Mayweather really need an 8 man security detail? And do they have to participate in the USADA drug-testing programme too? 2. HBO was brave enough to mention Roger's impending trial, but were they right to give him a forum to defend himself without response? 3. Floyd Sr. seems to have grown closer to Floyd and gained a larger presence in camp than I've seen since Roger took over the as chief trainer. Could this lead to tension between the two brothers and the prodigal son? And have Roger and Floyd Sr. even been seen talking on 24/7? 4. Mayweather has proven to be a bigger arsehole than ever before. Naming all the kids in his gym after money was nauseating ("get me some more of that Cash Flow!"), and hearing him moan about taxes when he lives like a King doesn't exactly arouse my sympathies. 5. Shane seems unruffled by his opponent's barbs, and looked typically classy being filmed in the barbers the week after Floyd has dissed his "jeri curl". Is Floyd acting up because he's intimidated by Shane, or is the whole display completely contrived, with Shane happy to play the good guy and Floyd the obvious bad guy in a dichotomy that both can fit so naturally?
Floyd couldn't be any more annoying and most of the footage of his camp makes me doze off Nazim(one hell of character!) and Mosley have made the show, i'm excited to see what game-plan they have in store for us May 1st
Mayweather's far from stupid. I don't think he's better than Robinson or Ali but I completely understand the context of what he's saying. One, he explained from a a confidence perspective but also, he KNOWS thats going to be a lightning rod of "anti Floyd, I wish he gets KTFO" resentment. Which in the end creates more interest and discussion about the fight. Here's what struck me. Nazim said he would NOT get involved in this cross talking, trainer dialogue but I find it ironic that he'd take jab at Mayweather's fighting (against Burton/Augustus which contrary to what he says was a pretty exciting fight) as being boring. "HELLO!!" You can't be serious right Nazim?? While he's one of my personal faves but your primary subject in BERNARD HOPKINS isn't exactly Mr EXCITEMENT now is he?
1. He has every right to be extra cautious after experiencing a robbery. The gym gets a ton of traffic which may include hostile fans. Not saying he should be paranoid; just cautious. Why would the guards have to take a blood test? They aren't fighting him and/or putting his health on the line. 2. I think HBO knows the viewers are smart enough to know without incriminating evidence there is no proof that either side is guilty. It's no different than Jimmy Kimmel having Manny Pac on his show to speak a little about his pending case and tell the world that Floyd is afraid to fight him. 3. I'm not even aware that Roger and Sr. are at odds with one another. In any case, Floyd Jr isn't letting tension distract him from his training and that's what matters the most. 4. Arsehole might be a little harsh. Giving out nicknames, unless they are just downright insulting, isn't what I would call unethical. Tasteless, maybe. Immoral, no. I actually agree about the money issue. He shouldn't complain too much when he's living in a mansion. But still, we all wish we can keep 100% of our earnings. Let's be honest. 5. Floyd is just doing his usual bad boy routine. Nothing out of the ordinary. Floyd is crass and mouthy but has been known to do community work and provide for charities. I think it's important to mention he spends quality time with his kids and seems like an excellent father. People are more receptive to Shane's personality. But the problem is he is not a huge PPV draw.
Jesus Christ some of you people are such drama queens. The guy loves money, so the **** what?! Who doesn't?! And yes, everyone hates the IRS no matter how rich or what lifestyle you may live...Deal with it.
Im enjoying this 24/7 and Iv always found Mayweathers banter quite amusing. But he seems to be over-doing the trash talking this time and instead of being funny hes making himself look quite silly. Its a sign hes not altogether comfortable about the fight. I still think he will win but hes clearly intimidated by Shane and expecially Naseem.
We could've done without having to see those gorillas(Floyd's bodyguards) working out but other than that it was a solid episode and for me much better than the first one. So Far Naz has been the star of the show.
He did the same trash talking agaist Gatti and this is much worst...People don't see it but this may be the first time Mosley gets stop. Mosley fights the same way every fight ...he's a fighter that can't adjust his style.
Floyd is pimping the game of boxing....you rarely if any see the man sparring anyone in the ring or for that matter him training very hard in front of the camera.....but believe me he has so many tricks up his sleeve its not funny anymore.....You going to see a control fight dictated by PBF. When the camera aren't around ...thats when you don't see the real Mayweather. Nazim Richerson doesn't have a answer for beating Floyd ...if you gots to watch hours of his fights ...you don't have an answer ,watching fights can mess a fighter up really bad....you either have it or you don't.
i would much prefer the way fight camp 360 has it- just put the camera down and take away the editing and bull**** storylines. id be much happier with a camera place in either gym for 2 hours- and lets just watch them train- and the natural interactions between trainer and fighter. the style of the show has them performing for the camera- instead of just being themsleves which i find more interesting. but then- ive seen every 24/7- 6 series' now- so i guess the casual first time fan would find it enlightening.
