Whats everyones opinion on Lil But Bad Stevie Johnston. How good was he in his prime.. how would he fare vs the lightweights of today, and would he fare vs lightweight greats of yesteryear?
Very good, underrated fighter. I thought he should've won at least one of those fights with Castillo. He could've certainly fought with any lightweight today, and might've even been a surprising test for some of the great LWs of the past.
To me he was a bit overated, He was a good southpaw with solid skills, but he was short, and couldnt crack an egg.
very good fighter that could outbox you using ducking and weaving to get inside. could catch fighters with straight punches down the middle throught their guard with his forehead about 6 inches from their chest. could keep fighters on the ropes and from moving out of distance because he could counterpunch opponents moving. i think he could hold his own against floyd, casamayor, corrales or any of the other superstar in the division at the time. relatively short career though, probably because of a huge amature career that he fought a 3 fight series with mosley going 1-2.
