No, I dont think he can, he can make a lot of money though. He would make a very basic boxer I thin, doesnt have the skill to go far.

i agree ,,to make a good boxer you have to train from a young age,,and dedicate your youth to learning the trade and skillset--:good

Bobby Gunn fought rough, dodgy bare-knuckle fights for a long time. I thin during the 10 odd years he didnt box pro he had a lot of these fights. They talked about it during the 2minutes of the Enzo fight...said thats why his nose was so ****ed, had pretty much no cartilage left in it

Kimbo fought undersized local doormen :patsch

He was abysmal in MMA as well :deal (bar taking an ancient Ray Mercer down, which just shows he wasn't completely ******ed)

    **** fighter.

Not now I don't think, everyone knows he is a poor, poor fighter.

Anyone know if this is what young Mike Tyson did?

It is said that, as a 14-16 year old, Cus brought him down to the Bronx to fight grown men and he always won.

    Were those fights bare knuckles?

D'Amato was a boxing trainer, why would he organize bareknuckle fights?

I never wrote Cus organized those. They were happening in the Bronx, all the time.

Bobby Gunn reckons he's fought 70-odd bareknuckle fights over the years and is unbeaten. Apparently 800,000 punters paid $10 a pop to watch online so it may end up being a lucrative sidebar to pro boxing, or a flash-in-the-pan curiosity...
I'm not to sure where i stand on it - there's an argument that it actually causes less brain damage than gloved boxing - but i can't see it ever developing to a great degree as none of the commissions in America will sanction bareknuckle contests so it will be limited to any of the native american reservations that are willing to.

Fights in the Bronx? I guess there were. Are you asking whether D'Amato entered Tyson into bareknuckle fights?

Tyson at 15 was a weapon so i wouldnt be surprised if he destroyed grown men in fights!!

Wasnt Butterbean a bareknuckle fighter at toughman contests before turning his hand to pro fighting?

Well I know he won all or most of those against grown men as a young teen. But I was asking if anyone knows if those Bronx fights were bare or gloved?

not sure i want to see it to be honest - can you imagine if someone looses an eye or something maybe an old shot has been ex pro?? The daily mail would have a field day with something about the how barbaric sport is becoming...

on Kimbo he has no chance in boxing he was sparked by a guy with a weak jab moving backwards im assuming he will fight at heavy??? Fury, Sexton, Chisora would hand him his arse - hell id fancy john McD to do the same - im sure the americans have a few who would do him over as well

Boxing pre-Queensbury rules used to have an element of wrestling allowed, now we have that MMA shite. As if that isnt bad enough, bare knuckle fighting is back - this is crazy and should be outlawed.

Using small mma-type gloves under the Queensberry rules would be interesting.
