I haven't been too impressed with them tbh, I expected more excitement and action. I'm not trying to sound like a casual, they just didn't match the hype is all I'm saying. Anyone else agree?

Fury-Whyte - an uncompetitive fight after all the hype, Whyte didn't look like he belonged in the same ring with Fury
Canelo-Bivol - although it was great to see Bivol beat Canelo in a boxing masterclass, it was a pretty unexciting 12 round fight for the most part with a lot of potshotting and great defense
Haney-Kambosos - an absolute joke of a fight, Kambosos looked clueless in there for all 12 rounds, boring as hell
Beterbiev-Smith Jr. - Joe looked absolutely pathetic in there. Not competitive at all after a lot of people said he would really challenge Artur
Usyk-Joshua II - a pretty boring 12 round fight except for 2 rounds that were exciting, Joshua didn't go out on his shield like many were saying he would
Ruiz-Ortiz - 12 round fight with some knockdowns here and there but nothing special and a disappointment (just look at the PPV buys lol)
Canelo-Golovkin III - A very boring 12 round fight that was nowhere near as good as their previous two, an embarrassment tbh (crowd was booing throughout the fight)

Anyone else not looking forward to the upcoming fights this year? Looks like more disappointments are in store. Joyce-Parker, Wilder-Helenius, Benn-Eubank could all be duds. The only one that might truly be exciting is Fury-Joshua (fingers crossed this gets finalized next week). Let's hope 2023 gives us more exciting fights and better matchups.

Fury makes fights uncompetitive because he's the GOAT

Only casuals got hyped by Whyte Fury. Anyone with even half a boxing braincell could see it would even be more of a mismatch than Fury Chisora. AJ will be the same after he has blown his load after 4 rounds.

Fury Wilder III got downplayed heavily because Fury rolled him 2nd time around on near full form...but yet again anyone with half a boxing braincell knows Wilder is a wierdo freak and can never be discounted, turned into FOTY. Fury clearly not on form going into the fight which most people don't pick up on.

Everyone wrote Wilder off after Fury dropped him in round 3 but yet again if you have a boxing braincell you could see Fury was playing with fire heavily walking headfirst at a man who wasn't that badly hurt his feet just never catch-up to his body then boom the expected happened. Fury is very lucky he managed to pull the gas out of Wilder in them first 3 rounds, letting Wilder waste his time hitting the rubber tyre. If Wilder came in at 215 pounds and took his time like he normally does then that 3rd bout could have easily ended differently.

    All of them were boring

Worst : Whyte Fury or GGG Canelo. 3

I expected both to be extremely entertaining (the latter technical). But got the opposite

Haney Kambosos was just shite. Joshua Usyk 2 was a let down. The first was far more entertaining which is telling. Canelo Bivol was a really boring fight as well. There were moments of entertainment when Bivol would throw combos but this was far and im between. So it was 98% boring, which isn't good enough I'm afraid

    Beterbiev Smith Jr was trash.

So, not trying to be rude but I have to ask...

Why did you possibly buy into any of the hype?
    1. Whyte can't block an uppercut and was sent to the shadow realm by a forty year old Povetkin prior.
    2. You call Bivols win a "masterclass" but say it was boring. Is this really the sport for you then if you find masterclass performances boring?
    3. Kambosos barely got the win against an injured, weight drained Teofimo. No one expected him to do anything to Haney.
GGG was a forty year old man... I could go on but won't.

Let me ask you this, name the last fight you watched that you truly enjoyed. Say anything positive...

Fury-Whyte: was always going to play out like how it did. Fury breaking Whyte down, evading any offense Whyte had, and KOing him with an uppercut. Solid night’s work for Fury, Whyte did as well as he could have done but ultimately he’s just levels below Fury

Bivol-Canelo: good chess match that Bivol was in control of throughout, not exactly a firefight but entertaining enough to watch live, and good to see the right man getting his hand raised

Haney-Kambosos: like Fury-Whyte, it was always going to play out this way. Kambosos simply isn’t world-level, not even close, it was obvious Haney was going to outbox him with the jab for 12 rounds, and the same thing will happen in the rematch

Beterbiev-Smith Jr: fun while it lasted. It did surprise me how little resistance Smith put up though

Usyk-Joshua 2: disappointing. For all the talk of how AJ was going to walk him down and “big man” him, he didn’t do ****, apart from a few body shots in one round. And Usyk looked worse in there than the first fight too. Not an offensively bad fight but just disappointing and completely forgettable performances from both men

Ruiz-Ortiz: boring fight apart from a few KDs. In fairness to Ortiz he displayed a lot of skill despite being shot to pieces. Confirmed Ruiz is ripe for the taking and would get bullied by top 10 HWs

Canelo-GGG 3: probably the worst fight out of all of these, glorified sparring match. GGG did **** all for 8 rounds, Canelo looked the worst he has in years to round out what has been a poor 2022 for him. GGG just turned up for the pay check and should retire

I actually thought Usyk/Joshua II was a good fight. It wasn't a classic match obviously, but it was a match that I would have no problem watching again.

As for Canelo/Bivol, that one was exciting to watch if only because it was wild to see the absolute boxing lesson Bivol gave Canelo throughout the fight. The scores were WAY too close, IMO. I had it as a clear points victory for Bivol. ****, you could argue he at least nine rounds.

You've cherry picked some **** fights here but they aren't all rubbish.
Beterbiev Smith- 2nd best fight Beterbiev could make in the division, decent effort from Smith but he was up against a beat of a man

Usyk Joshua- Intriguing fight, close but convincing win for Usyk, different to the first fight in so may ways

Haney Kambosos- one man outclassed the other what else is there to say?

Canelo GGG3- Past prime v aged greats finishing one of the best rivalries of recent times, boring fight, both looked faded, one more than the other. Nice to see the rivalry wrapped up and done with.

Fury Whyte Ruiz Ortiz- No one asked for this **** and no need for either fight

It's not that I bought into the hype, it's that I expected more than what we got. And we should've got more from these fights. It's easy for you to now say we all should've seen it coming, after the fact, being a Monday morning quarterback.

Just last year I can name 3 big fights that I enjoyed and were more exciting than this year's top fights and it's these -

    Fury vs. Wilder III
    Joshua vs. Usyk I
    Crawford vs. Porter

How did I cherry pick? These were the biggest fights this year, were they not?
