Pretty good series of fights between two all time greats and arguably one of the greatest knockouts of all time. :chuck:

When I saw this K.O. then I thought about the KO punch that Marciano sent Walcott to the floor in the 13th round. It looked so similar.

I think it is one of the bets rivalries in boxing history. They kept cleaning out the division between them because they fought so often against such high quality opposition.

Apparently Charles deserved the victory in the last outing.

Apparently, Walcott deserved the verdict in the second meeting. It was a situation similar to Ellis-Patterson, where the television transmission went out before the decision was announced. And when people heard Charles had gotten the decision, people who'd watched the fight on television were pretty angry. It's why there was a rubber match four months later.

I think they were probably all close fights.

The press scored the second for Charles for whatever that is worth.

Yep. I think they were probably 2-2 against each other, regardless of how the decisions went in the second and fourth fights.

Right. (LOL) I was just commenting on your "apparently Charles deserved the victory in the fourth fight." I don't think one of them was actually 3-1 against the other. I think that they probably did split the four fights.

They did split the 4 fours fights.

Charles won the first two, Walcott the 2nd two.

That KO Walcott scored was one of the best ever.
