I know there have been a buncha these but I just saw the fight today on the HBO replay, twice actually. I jumped ship saturday and saw UFC instead of boxing, my brother said something wild happened at the fight. So I went on eastside and saw a bunch of threads saying Cintron is a dolphin diving outta the ring and faking and injury thinking he was winning. I decided to check it out. Gave round 1 to Williams he landed some clean shots Cintron landed well too but Williams seemed to land more. Round 2 and 3 were dry rounds gave them both to Cintron. I was very disappointed with Williams very cold dry performance came to the ring didnt look like he warmed up. Cintron did alot more upper body movement than usual but for a guy who is not all that slick he had Williams out of his element. Williams let his hands loose at the end of 3 though. Early in roud 4 Williams lands but Citron got in a great right hand. Its heating up and suddenly Cintron ropes between the and thats it. My card 3-1 Cintron though I can understand 4-0 williams cause it was a boring inactive fight allowing several view points as none of the judges agreed. Thoughts Williams looked awful if he fights like that he will lose to anybody worth talking about. He needs to get more active and pick a weight class. Cintron was accurate, good upper body movement, and he landed the right hand and left hook very well. He can still be a force if this does not ruin is confidence. On the end, Cinton hit the table looked like he did not hit anything but the table (no computers or anything) took a second then fell to the floor. To me he did not look injured. Then some guy in a suit who to me was not a doctor talked to him. My guess some guy telling him to stay down and get the NC or even a win on points. Even Cintron's corner told him he was winning after 2 maybe he took the easy way out. On another note the fight was boring lots of boos in the audience, also it seemed like the place was relativley empty. Fight was getting good too big disappointment.
My thoughts this weekend HBO bored the **** out of us, kinda well put it to you this way...... if HBO were like some sick country bumkin pedophile.... They bad touched us.... 1st Margarito is headlining in a Top Rank PPV..(and nobody gives a **** about margarito so mays well forget about that **** right now) Okay so get this here goes.... the lesser of two evils... ( decided and planned on HBO comming through) I was off..... 1st a replay of that ass whippen from a week ago (had about 40 seconds of fun in it lets say somewhere in the 2nd round if I recall??) Then comes the Williams Cintron fight.... A good fight when you think about it, Williams close win over Margarito.... Cintron ass whipped twice by Margarito, but fought well against Martinez who did very well against Williams.... Interesting.... Round 1 Cintron comes out looking to box... Jabbing and moving... Timing Paul.... wait a secon its been 1 min and williams hasnt thrown much ohh **** (interesting match perhaps Cintron had a plan) Round 2 More or less of the same Round 3 Cintron timing paul... countering with good snappy shots, Paul looking to get going... Round 4 WTF!!!!! So as far as asking me how my weekend went, thats about the only part of my weekend that I recall kid~~~ I still have that WTF ****in with me....
Now the question is what fight do we really look to next? I have a feeling that Ortiz vs Campbell is going to be a good match.... But I also think if Ortiz gets one on him, he is going to finish Campbell.... But I lean towards Nate to win.....
I have not seen a lot of Ortiz something tells me Campbell is going downward and Ortiz is bouncing back. I feel the main event will be good I figure if Paulie fights like he did when he won the belt he wins. If he fights like the Hatton fight forget it.
First the ruling. Anyone look up that states actual rules? And second. I had Cintron up 3-0. Who could have scored the 4th? hell i thought Cintron buzed Williams in the 4th a slight bit. And then those punch stat #s. Everytime I saw Williams touch Cintron I saw Cintron counter back. And I had Cintron out jabbing Williams. So I dont know how Williams was up even by 1 or 2 punches. What a shame. And I HATE CONTRACT BOXERS! Yet another reason for a single national committee. No TV contracts! I gained even more liking of Williams after the Martinez fight but now it has flown out the window. (for excepting the win)
This is exactly the problem with the sport, why do you think Lennox has a draw with Evander? why do you think certain fighters win close and questionable fights? if your a contracted fighter of a major network of course you will get the benifit of the doubt every single time out...
I won't be staying up to 5am in future unless it's a big fight, I've had this **** as well as RJJ vs Hopkins that I've regretted stopping up for over the past few weeks, catch the replays the next day in future. That was my thought after watching this weekend.
