    At the time, the cover photo of Sports Illustrated showed Wepner standing on Ali's foot as he fell.

    Muhammad Ali told Howard Cosell that referee Tony Perez was allowing Chuck Wepner to hit him low, 15 times a round.

    Remains one of my favorite boxing stories ... the follow up, of course, was Wepner’s wife had bought a sexy negligee for his presumed victory because she’d be sleeping with the champ. After the loss, she asked Chuck, “So, do I go to his room or does he come to mine?”

    Yeah, I didn't mean you. I meant people like me. I have had guys like you beat my azz so many times now, I can spot you all a mile away, just by your posts. Some of you were the ones that done me in, actually. Just ruffles my feathers is all.

    Of course he stepped on his foot and it was a fluky knockdown, but it made Chuck a lot of money so I have no problem with it.
