    Hi guys!

I've just started watching boxing this year and totally love it! I watched the AJ and WK fight and that got me out of my seat!?

I saw Parker last night and he was nice and fast but my question is. Does he have a chance to beat Anthony Joshua or is Joshua way out of his league?

Good for you, keep with it! AJ would be the heavy favorite, and I don't personally think Parker would have much of a chance at all, but he's an undefeated hw belt holder and top 5-10 hw, so you never know until it happens.

Personally, though, I'd be much more interested in seeing him fight Deontay Wilder. That would be a great fight, would tell us alot about both fighters, and the winner would be alot more proven and given a much better chance than they currently would to beat AJ in a full hw unification bout that would be hyped beyond belief.

Joshua would be the favorite, Vlad would be the favorite also. Rematch, Vlad/Joshua will happen, so we won't know for a while. Nothing is 100% in boxing, but I think Joshua would beat Parker....................don't know if he would knock him out, but..............

My personal take is that while AJ would be favourite ... Parker would be a good chance and at least a tough fight.

Parker's fight last night may have been an anomaly, considering the circumstances, their sparring history and possibly even some mild injuries.

A problem for Parker is that the fight is only ever going to be in the UK, so there's not much chance of him getting the points in a close contest.

I hope Parker would win but AJ is a level or 2 above him IMO. AJ in 5.

    Parker's speed is elite level.

    Matched against Joshua's power.

    A fascinating matchup.

Dont judge Parker on that fight alone. Something was off with Parker yesterday. But then if your guna backtrack on youtube watch the Takem fight. I think that shows everything that is good and everything that is bad about Joseph Parker.

Joshua is the clear favourite, he's on another level at the moment in terms of who he's fought and how much he has progressed.

But Parker is a dangerous fight for anyone, just because he has so much hand speed, I'm surprised by Parker's speed every time I see him. But speed alone won't be enough, otherwise Wlad would have beaten Joshua because he was so much faster than Joshua as well.

I think Parker will be dangerous early, will take Joshua some rounds to get his timing down but once he does his heavy jab, accurate counters and abundant power will takes it's toll.

Parker only fights one way, which is why despite being so dominant against Cojanu he couldn't find the KO. He literally ran out of ideas. Cojanu isn't iron chinned, he's been stopped before early but all that sparring meant he knew what to expect from Parker and when Parker needed to go to the toolbox to find a way to stop him his toolbox was empty. He lacks versatility and adaptability and if this current Parker steps up a level you'll see him lose because of this lack of versatility. Joshua simply has more tools in his toolbox right now and that's why he has to be a heavy favourite.

Welcome to the forum!! You have a lot of fun coming up, there are also many older fights well worth watching as well!

Anyway, from a Parker (note my avatar) fan, Joshua is a heavy favourite. Parker is a solid HW, but he needs to go up a level to have much of a chance against Joshua.

If you want to see Parker's best performance, you should perhaps see his fight with Dimitrenko last year. Also, the Takam fight is worth watching, it was quite a fun fight with a close win to Parker.

AJ is a massive favourite against Parker. To the point of it being a clear KO win.

AJ would do a lot of damage on Parker with the jump in and jump out raids he does. I just do not see Parker being tricky enough or fast enough to avoid being clipped, and when AJ has you hurt its usually game over. AJ proved he is the real deal against Wlad- and potentially the next undisputed HW champion of the world in the near future.

Parker is a legit top 10 HW. He would have been expected to bomb Conjanu out of there- but I accept as a long time sparring partner Conjanu could have just known too much. I would recommend watching his fight against Andy Ruiz Jr that accurately shows the level Parker is at. Parker needs to do a lot of training and learn alot in a short space of time to become a true elite HW and I just do not see that happening at this stage in his career.

Parker's speed is his best attribute.
