I believe he made a big mistake against Hatton, Alvarez didn't looked that sharp and not in good shape.

And in he's last fight he looked shaper and in much better shape and he prove that on fight night.

Maybe he just took Hatton too lighty.:huh

    I
They said canelo had to cut 23 pounds to make weight for Hatton. Bad camp and to many distractions in jalisco.. so that's why he was sent to big bear.. and it paid off tremendously in the Rhodes fight.

At the age of 20 the kid is very impressive! He's still got a long way to go but that's just saying a lot about how much potential the kid has. He's got a great style...it's very exciting... It's clean, crisp and vicious. But he does have has holes defensively and offensively that a crafty vet with a strong will can exploit....nothing more experience won't fix.

Canelo has the goods for sure.

I was impressed with his last performance, all things considered. I didnt think he was anything special when he fought Hatton, but now I think he might be. Not gonna say that he is just yet, but there could be something there. The sky is the limit because he is so young

You know, I'm not particularly impressed by the competition he's faced so far - so inevitably there will be question marks. That being said, I have a feeling he'll turn out to be a special fighter. I'm a fan.

I mean, 20 years old. Wow.

They should put him with Nacho next year, he would turn to a monster counter puncher

:deal He's improving with every fight. Speed, defense, patience, power, etc Canelo is showing alot of promise. I think the whuppins Angulo laid on him aren't in vain and this kid is becoming better. I still think once JMM has moved on and retired Mares and Segura are Mexico's next greats to carry the torch, but I really like what I'm seeing in Canelo's skills.

Really fast combinations and decent power, however he can't counterpunch and I think that'll hurt him. Still lightyears ahead of Chavez Jr who's just plain garbage.
