all these pair of clowns have done is talk up hopkins and basically say calzaghe has no chance etc. they are prize prats, ben dirs you obviously cant read a boxing fight to say you thought hopkins had the decision. he done nothing, he held is way or tried to hold his way through the fight and take breathers. IF he had tried to get in and work the inside fair enough, but he didnt he was HOLDING doing nothing.. at one point in i think round 11 he had hold of calzaghes left arm with both of his arms with his head tucked right into calzaghes neck... time to retire hopkins, along with ben dirs and steve bunce.
Reading Ben Dirs stuff on the BBC...I soon got rid of the tab with his crap on there. His boxing knowledge is crap! He basically did a play-by-play for the cricket and he got popular because he was 'funny' and now they just lump him on any play-by-play thing they do. I'm sure for the Kessler fight in his descriptions he had Kessler controlling the fight.
yeah he was absolute garbage and i dunno why they bother with him.. completely off the boil. couldnt he see that hopkins wanted to hold and do nothing throughout the fight. ppl say calzaghe didnt have the power to put him away, well its hard to get to a turtle in a shell and thats what happened! why would calzaghe risk breaking his hand on bhops arms/shoulder???
