It's not just a "buisness" move, it's the right move, why should Chambers take a risk and fight Povetkin when he's already lined up for a title shot? Chamebers would eventually fight Povetkin anyway IF (and I mean a big if) he beats Wladimir. Also according to Chef, the fight is scheduled to be on March 20, I wish the fight was shorter, but it's better than April or May.

Chambers is a great fighter, and seems like a really nice guy.,..I wish him the best against Klitschko, but I just dont see how he can win.

And it's exactly what anyone in his position would do.

I still don't think he rec'd the credit he deserved for taking the Dimitrenko fight - how many fighters, fresh off beating a guy 1-fight removed from a belt, go to another guy's back yard notorious for tough decisions when he himself is not a ko fighter? Not many. That I applaud, hugely.

Waiting out a title shot is par for the course. Just seems like a weird thing to credit someone for.

it simple.......this is about CASH... Whatever he makes fighting Povetkin, it would be at least 3 times that fighting Wlad as a mand

surgery on shoulder... nothing to do with HBO.... wlad had the surgery after the chagaev (was injured before the chagaev fight but fought anyways...did you hear that DAVID HAYE:yep) fight and was going to be ready for Dec, but they needed to clean it out again and recommended he wait... HBO was set. This is a legit injury

I don't see the big deal. Rather than avenge his loss against Povetkin and then fight Wladimir he prefers to be inactive and then fight Wladimir. Its the smart business move but its not out of the ordinary here.

What would be amazing is if he fought Povetkin instead of staying inactive until the Wlad fight.

The truth is my introduction to Eddie was the Povetkin fight and watching him give it away made me sick. I certainly never thought I'd become a fan of his. It reminded me of watching Zab Judah completely **** away his fight with Baldomir-who he NEVER should have lost to. But Eddie has shown me a lot of character in the fact that he's one of the few fighters who seems to have really looked at his flaws and turned over a new leaf. These guys really rarely have their weaknesses diagnosed and admit to them, then go on to correct them. I like Eddie now.

Eddie Chambers would win against Povetkin but why risked the shot against Wlad? Great move from Eddie.

Bul**** from the IBF. Povetkin do not deserve an interims fight. He wants tune up fights so he could wait and stay busy and fight Wlad in the summer.

Chambers did not beat Povetkin in their first fight.

Vlad will knock Chambers out. Vlad is not Dimitrenko.

It's not just about the title. Fighting Wladimir Klitschko means big money. One would expect that a fight between Chambers and Klitschko would be a major sell in Germany, especially after Eddie's recent win there over Dimitrenko.
