Three Reasons Why NAOYA INOUE Is P4P #1 (!!!)

Donaire is old, but not shot (unlike Kovalev who is considered as Canelo second best win). And yes, Inoue struggled against physically bigger and very experienced 4-division world champion that will be definitely included in HOF. But... Clenelo has struggled to much bigger extent against lesser fighters like Lara (against whom he got a gift decision) and even Austin Trout

 

I wouldn't even say he struggled. He suffered an eye injury early on and kept himself in the fight. Donaire landed some brain-scrambling haymakers and the fight was competitive, though not particularly close.

 

Juan Francisco Estrada is busy revenging all his losses, the fans are calling out #1 P4P Naoya Inoue.

 

A slick southpaw in his prime like Lara is a far harder match up for Inoue than old Donaire who was made for him stylistically. Canelo destroys opposition like that. Canelo has faced all styles and the very best of his era. No comparison.

 

Donaire was NOT made for Inoue, the reason I picked Monsta in a close decision surviving scares is Noni being THE forward-moving boxer-puncher antidote, see his absolute devastation of Darchinyan, Montiel or Nishioka. It's when these skilled fighters got comfortable in their patterns when Donaire timed them, like he timed Inoue, who somehow survived. Pure boxers gave Noni more trouble, and of course much bigger ones where the Noni effectiveness was lost. Oubaali is a worse style match-up for Noni and much better style for Monsta.
