For what it;s worth he is a hall of famer. Not that I agree to his being one. I loved Gomez, Gatti (again, hall of famer although I dont agree) and Pryor I won't say I hate them, that word is harsh but rather, put me to sleep: Hopkins - even thought it was very hard to score rounds against him Carlos Ortiz Benvenuti
I hardly ever hear of folks talking about Nino other then as mostly an opponent of Monzons. Good you watch him enough to know, I honestly have never taken to him.
Great shouts on Otiz and Benvenuti. Benvenuti-Luis Rodriguez is one of the worst title fights I've ever seen, absolutely painful to watch. Ortiz was great, but he was too insular a fighter to be pleasing to the eye.
Audie Murphy would wreck all of them in mortal combat the only true metric of masculinity boxing is a game Seamus, you my friend are watching a game and Hemingway is mocking you.
Hard to pick three, and for the record “don’ts” don’t mean disrespect for the pick or their ATG status, and doesn’t mean that watching them causes me physical pain, simply an aesthetic preference. It would be a boring world if we liked the same things. Do: Peak Joe Louis, Bob Foster, Marvin Hagler (honorable mention Floyd Patterson) Don’t: Rocky Marciano, later Sugar Ray Leonard, post-Manila Ali
I saw his fight with Griffith which was named FOTY and I was sleeping by the 8th! After I found out it was FOTY, I thought "were the other contests that bad?????"
