German-Canadien Franz Rill(11-0) will take on Salvatore Erettu(27-2) on the undercard of Helenius vs Teper in Finnland on dec.the 19th. Swedish heavy weight hope Adrian Granat (9-0) will square off against tough Russian journeyman Denis Bakhtov(39-11).Bakthov's chin isnt the best out there but he can bang and is a dangerous fighter within the first 2 rounds.Good test for Granat at this point of his career. Very young German heavy weight talent Tom Schwarz (14-0) will face undefeated Ilja Mezencev(10-0) in Germany on nov.the 14th. Schwarz is 21 years young but far more active than his compatriot Wallisch who is considered to be the best German heavy weight prospect. Your opinion? Anyone seen them? They are able to go far and capture a european or world title?
Schwarz is the most promising HW in all of Germany, but his heart doesn't seem to be in boxing. I agree, out of the 3 Granat is the most promising.
Sparring with Wlad is a great, humbling experience for any young HW prospect. I hope his jab shows signs of improvement against Bakhtov, that's one of his glaring weaknesses. He needs to develop a good jab if he's to have success at the top level.
Jab, footwork, defense, and movement. Biggest things he needs to work on. His inside game is already very good for someone his size.
I didnt know it.Well,Schwarz is still extremely young for a heavy weight. I for my part think that Wallisch is the most promising heavy at present. He has all the tools to be a force at his weight division:he can punch, box, decent defence, mental toughness, determination, ring intelligence, size, and so on. I just dont get it why he is so bloody inactive. And yes,I also tend to think that Granat is probably the most promising one of three mentioned big boys, but as I ve already mentioned Schwarz is very young and I havent seen enough of Rill to assess his abilities inside a ring correctly.
Amazing! Cant really say that he looks like Fury's twin, can we. Well,it will be a very good experience for him.
Schwarz passed his test by scoring a 7th round ko victory over undefeated Ilja Mezencov from Kazakhstan. He can now call himself the youth heavy weight champion of the world as he capatured the wbo title. The young German is now 15-0.Mezencov was a very good test for him and Schwarz came up against a lot of resistance and had to dig deep to take Mezencov out of action. I am still not sure whether he will be able to reach the upper echelons of his weight division. Anyway! Very good victory for the young German!:good
Didn't see the fight but they said Schwarz didn't look good and got outboxed until Mezencev ran out of gas in the HWs thread.
Going back to this, I meant to say Wallisch and not Schwarz being the most promising HW in Germany. Wallisch, skilled but his heart is not fully in boxing.
He even floored him in round 1.Mezencev has fast hands and is quite gifted.I would like to see him again in a pro ring.Their fight was actually a quite good experience for both Schwarz and his opponent. Mezencev fought against all odds.Schwarz was the hometown boy,he has a powerful promoter,he is older, has more experience, has fought better and more selected opposition, has a better coach, and so on. Nonetheless,Mezencev showed his true colours and made the water hot for Schwarz.I guess the encounter with Schwarz was a bit too early for the young German-_Russian from Kazakhstan.Nevertheless,he was certainly worthy of Schwarz's steel and shot one or two cannon ***** across Schwarz' bugs.
Yeah It sounds like Mezencev was thrown into lion's den too early. I hope he can pull himself back, he's pretty young and light for a modern heavyweight. He needs 4 or 5 more fights against journeymen.
they should match him with beatable but durable journeymen like Sukhoterin.Well, come to think about it he should better first beat two or three no-hopers from Hungary or the Czech Republic just to gain confidence after his ko loss to Schwarz. He was not really hurt that much-he was out of puff, going backwards and overpowered in a way but not really brutally knocked out or something similar.
