To emulate anything Ali did his high risk, but I think Pacman v PBF would be a worthy successor to this historical fight. Because of the status of Pacman in the Philipines this would actually be bigger. I know this fight will end up in the States, but there is not harm in wishing.

PS around 20 years ago I hoped for Rumble in the Jungle II - Tyson v Foreman

    No way it happens.This ain't the 70's.
Merchant would be drunk at at Metro Manila,Lampley would be at a whorehouse in General Santos City and Emanuel Stward would know that would be exactly like he thought things would go.

If Floyd beats Manny, he'd probably be killed before he could get out the ring.

Nah, I imagine 1,000 filipinos rush the ring and rip Floyd to pieces. Floyd manages to take atleast 10 of em out but eventually he is overwhelmed by the shear size of the force.

Que Gladiator music followed by Rocky Balboa's line:''It don't matter how much you give but how much you can take and get up,keep getting up'' then Ricky Hatton's:Right hook, roll over, right hook, roll over'',followed by Roger Mayweather walking lonely in the deserted arena hours after the fight picking up what's left of Floyd's boxing equipment, pouring gasoline on it and throwing it in the trash and laughing while heading for his car.
    Then roll credits.

Then the film opens back up with a shot of an injured Floyd running toward the last chopper out, with Leonard ellerbe shouting "you can make it Floyd, come on!" then Floyd goes down with his hands in the air like Defoe in platoon, just as the *******s surround him..." :yep

Incident;y that scene with Dafoe is an ATG scene, one of the greatest scenes ever and a very sad one indeed. But enough about that.
Then after Floyd's dramatic death(Dafoe had his hands towards the sky mimicing Jesus's crucification,Floyd would have them up with just the pointing finger like he always does),Ellerbe would turn around and watch the chaos in the chopper with Lampley reporting ''This is the end of a great career,Floyd Mayweather has just...'',right next to Freddie Roach and Floyd Sr. arguing while OJ would be next to them saying:''Oh well,he got it coming''.
