Why aint no one recommending this? If Murray wants a title, go for Vasquez if possible. Vasquez being the man to beat Prescott then gone on to win the IBF. Has 12 KO's in 26 wins. Only 3 losses and never Stopped, with one loss coming to Tim Bradley who beat him on points 99-91.

Why not? He fights scared and on the back foot if i recall, could prove to be a good move for Murray if he wants to gain a title on an easier route before stepping up to the elites in Marquez, Diaz and Katsidis right?

Because he would box Murray's head off. Stylistic nightmare.

Hmm possibly. But ive only notably seen him fight Prescott. In which he did what you said and outboxed his opponent, but constant pressure and decent power off Murray could possibly do him a favour and get him through.. Its only a suggestion though, way better option than Marquez or Katsidis right now..

Ji Hoon Kim, who is a pressure fighter and is a bigger puncher than Murray although more open, tried to put the pressure on and was very soundly beaten. That's why I think the same would happen to Murray :good

Ahh i see.:good Ill have to check out the fight sometime, who'd you reckon Murrays taking on next at this rate then? I really think hes past being tested against just tough domestic/lower euro level guys he needs a somewhat 'gatekeeper' fight to show just how far from world level he is. He needs to leave that idiot Mick aswell and get with Warren or someone, Hennessy is dragging his career on :-(

Yeah, I'm hoping he will join up with Warren. He will get him the fights that he needs now. For his next fight I would have him face Rocky Juarez, who is faded, but not that much that it would be an irrelevant win. Naturally the smaller man who Murray wouldn't have to go looking for, and it would be a good fight to get him recognition in the States. But I honestly don't really know who he might be facing next, Juarez is just who I would pick :good

Doesn't sound to me though, that you think he has the ability to mix it at the top.

At this stage, I honestly think it depends on the opponent he is facing. But when people before were mentioning fighters for Murray to face in the future, the one name I said that he should stay clear of was Miguel Vasquez. The guy has been up at welterweight and never been stopped, plus Kim is one of the biggest punchers in the lightweight division and didn't hurt him at all in their fight so I don't think Murray has the power to deter him. Plus Vasquez has fantastic footwork, great stamina and can really let his hands go (underrated puncher as well). Murray doesn't need him ;)

Jeez, can you imagine if someone had started a thread on what would be the easiest way to get Khan a title, they'd get slaughtered!!

Just for the entertainment I wouldn't mind seeing Murray in with that Aussie guy Zappa would be a close tear up plus he was on TV in the US recently.

Khan was not exactly ranked by the WBA either when he moved up to 140 to challenge Kotelnik. :deal Like bunce enjoys preaching ''you dont get what you deserve you get what you negociate''

With Mitchell being a Warren fighter, would it really happen though? Khan was a Warren fighter in the mix to take on, at the time, Hennessys two top boys Murray and Thaxton but on more than one occassion fell through with both promoters making excuses. Although it would make alot of logical sense.

INFACT... Throw Murray in with Prescott if Mitchell is hard to negociate. thoughts?
