This would answer once and for all the idiocy of a "weight-class-for- every-pound" mentality in boxing. Henry Armstrong held titles from Featherweight through Welterweight....ALL AT THE SAME TIME! Let's see who has the most heart and biggest balls! I am not a fan of either man but this match would be a box office and PPV record setter and would temporarily slow down the juggernaut of the UFC. I would buy it.
People noticed the difference in size in fights like Gatti-Gamache, or some of Oscar's early fights at 130 and 135. Those would look like nothing compared to this difference in size. Pacquiao would be destroyed in short order.
This would be a fraud! DLH has no business fighting Pacman and although I don't like DLH he would be to big for Pacman.
DLH started out as a 130 lber. If they had fought then would it have been criticized? NO........so why does it matter now? Let them fight at 150 lbs. Manny can gain 12 and fight at 138.
Pacquiao would only have to gain 8 pounds to fight @ 138. De La Hoya fought @ 130 two times, back in 1994, before Manny turned pro @ 106. They're both much bigger now (24 lbs) and it would be a mismatch.
typical BLACK answer. For you pacman is the worst boxer! And yet he was voted 2006 BOXER of the year! In other words, you are just a typical pacman hater. I was wondering why you hate him so much?! Probably you keep on betting on pacmans opponents and you keep losing:yep :hey :good:| .If that is the case I understand you now :hi:
Don't believe into this **** people. Even Arum is into it. This is just to HYPE UP Pac's name but it will never happen. De La Hoya will EAT UP Pac's ass if it happens.
damn right i want to see ivan caledron vs vitali klitschko, he probz come up to vits balls but oh well bring it on !!!!!!!!!!!!!
