Story from Standard.co.uk below, it makes for very interesting read right now. The reason Saunders failed test under VADA and not under UKAD is the fact that UKAD is allowing British fighters to take substances that fighters tested under VADA are not allowed to take. For UKAD "in competition" means only on the day of the fight. So if You want to take some drug that helps You cut weight for example, You can take it all the way through the camp, no problems. For VADA - "in competition" means year round. Now, the questions I have - how many other substances are fighters allowed to take under UKAD on any day outside of the fight night? Is this Clomifene on that list? Did Connor fail the test under VADA, because He didn't do his homework and didn't realise that VADA has different standards? Or maybe VADA testing picked up "trace amounts" in his system, remaining from the earlier use? He figured if He doesn't take it now, it won't be detected? I don't know, some of those drugs apparently stay in your system for long and other - not so much - and I'd like an answer for that question. I'd like to see a full list of drugs that UKAD isn't testing for outside of fight-night and VADA is, also... Anyways, article blow (I took some parts away, You can web-search for full version)... Stunning hypocrisy from Edward, but what else is new.
Hearn's hypocrisy has been noted and called out in the mainstream press this past week. still some people don't see what a deceitful manipulative bitter cynical ******* he is all promoters in boxing are a bit likely crooked but Hearn is especially bad because he goes to great lengths to present the image of the reasonable accessible man of the people. it's next level of deception. & has social media flunkeys on payroll to carry his twisted narrations people here actually defend and cite this guy as an honest player in boxing game.
Key difference, there are no reasonable circumstances in which a man ingests a female infertility treatment, unlike a nasal spray. There's no reason to take it in or out of competition. Also, let's stop falling for this 'trace amount' defence. Athletes micro dose PEDS and masking agents - or at least properly advised ones do. If a banned substance which cannot naturally be present in the body is detected, that's a slam dunk fail irrespective of the amount detected...
Hearn just seems to me that he’s under a lot of pressure with this Dazn deal compared to when he was with Sky and is prepared to roll the dice a lot more.
