What makes it worse is the way the dirty cheat brings god into it. As if he is some kind of a goody-two-shoes, whereas in fact he is nothing of the kind. Good boxer without the fouls, no doubt - but a dirty cheat.

 

This is like getting upset at holding in the NFL or that pick play Peyton Manning introduced to the league then saying the team sucks, they are dirty cheats. Ridiculous. Ward by wide UD.

Every fighter who gets in the ring with Andre Ward knows he's a dirty fighter.
Maybe Mikkel Kessler can be forgiven for not knowing since Ward wasn't so well-known then, but after the Kessler fight no opponent can cry about Ward's fouling. They need to get in there and foul him first and foul him hard.

Complaining and moaning about a fight that hasn't even taken place yet. The superior fighter will win tonight, that much I'm certain of.

 

Fouling isn't boxing. Just because the refs allow it does not mean we can't call these cheaters out. Guys like Ward, B-Hop, Salido, are the worst, because they use deliberate illegal blows to damage their opponents. It doesn't mean they are not skilled. I think Ward will win, but if he beats Kov like he beat Kessler, he deserves to be questioned. If he goes for headbutts and can't land them, he still deserves to be called out on it.

Winning as a clean fighter who doesn't hold, elbow, forearm, headbutt is much more impressive than winning by doing that.

 

Stupid post. Stupid. We are talking about boxing here - a sport with rules. Go watch mma - or streetfights - if you admire that kinda stuff. The rest of us want boxing played by the rules.

A lot of boxers bring God into it like God favors them in a fight. The stupidest thing any athlete says is "i want to thank God for this [victory]"

Ward and Bradley... headbutts happen when a fighter without great power is moving in and taking it to a fighter who is eating it and shelling up.

An example of a dirty headbutter would be one Victor Ortiz. Sliding his head up and to the side on folks' jaw in clinches.
