If Ward fights dirty, he could wind up getting killed. Literally.

 

Yah his head butt me, it's not fair! Ward whooped up on Kessler! Good stuff! This is boxing not a tickling contest! If you don't like Ward maybe you should watch pillow fighting!

 

I don't think you can name a boxer who Hasn't thrown an elbow or 2. For instance Tyson was know for following through with his elbow on those famous hooks. He himself also admitted that during the stare downs and walk to the ring, that he would when he was putting the glove to his mouth, he was chewing on it to move the pad away from his knuckles. Boxers purposely committing fouls is nothing new, and probably will always happen

 

Not me! I won't complain at all! It's a fight, plain and simple! Sooner or later he will be asked to answer to his own justice. Someone will out dirty him and justice will be served. Remember, the universal arch of karma is long but, it bends toward justice!

 

Ward got you scared! Just how you said "hopefully" says it all. Got you shook!!! LOL

 

In all seriousness, this is a fight that is bitter sweet for me because, I like both men in the ring. Ward is a very skilled fighter and is rarely playing catch up in his fights. Smart, deliberate and calculating, coupled with discipline. Kov is a skilled assassin that enjoys putting a beat down on his opponents. It's like he is insulted that an opponent took the fight with him. That straight right of his is a thing of beauty, that becomes more refined when he adds his battering ram jab in the mix. No my friend, this is not going to be the one sided beat down you crave, it will be a masterfully executed, tit for tat exhibition of skill and will. Exposing both men and requiring them to step into a realm that neither man has been in before. This is going to be the type of fight that both men will be respected for after. If Kov wins, you will be left shaking your head and thinking, that damn Ward is something else, unbelievable! If ward wins, people will be in shock when they finally get to see the tremendous heart that pumps that cold blood through Kovalev's icy veins. This is a fans fight and we will fall in love with this great sport all over again!

 

I have no idea who any of you are nor do I get any of the 'in' jokes or digs because i'm not on here enough.

But this little exchange made me **** myself even with regard to the above.

'Colin the Fraud' just sounds ****ing funny. Putting 'I'M CRABBY' tipped me over the edge.

Sorry for derailing the thread further but just had to comment on how i'm crying with laughter at this little comment.

And still after all that has been shown, some of you still justify Wards blatant cheating and transgression of the rules...Boxing is a sport, an admittedly brutal one but, a sport non the less governed by rules which through obviously biased officiating in the mighty fighting city of Oakland, Billy Goat Ward has totally disregarded and made a mockery of. This arrogant piece of **** needs a fall from grace unseen as of yet in this sport and I pray that Kovalev is the man to do it. Unfortunately I see Ward frustrating the hell out of Kovalev and fiddling his way to another contemptuous UD or possibly DQ for Kovalev as he tries to give Ward a taste of his own medicine...prepare to all be bitterly disappointed...god I hope I'm wrong.

 

Its not even close to the despicable no boxing style of Klitschko. Ward is throwing on the inside. That leaves him open. Wlad isn't throwing full stop. His uses his gigantic size as a weight to crush guys into the canvas. Ward has never been the bigger man against anybody to do that.
Ward can win all day by fighting clean. That was seen against Rodriguez. After the point got taken off him he layed down a one sided ass whooping.
Take Wlads illegal clinching off him and he gets destroyed as you saw against Brewster. Since then guys have not been allowed to go go anywhere near him. They get back humped to death until the ref breaks and moves them to the other side of the ring. Rince and repeat.
This makes Wlad the worst cheating disgrace in history as his cheat process is enabled by a corrupt referee. His success is 100% dependant on being allowed to box his fight. He isn't confidant to enrage until he knows all his leaning has left the opponent completely knackered

That can't be said for Ward or Mayweather. Especially Mayweather who has been driven up against the ropes and bullied all throughout his career...
Ward style isn't designed to shut down the fight. Ward is an attacker. He fights. He fights no different to guys like Marciano , Duran and Hagler who are praised as legends of the sport.
You don't have a very deep knowledge of boxing history if this type of things upsets you.
