Looking at some boxing odds, Thurman is a -175, or slightly less than 2 to 1 favorite.

I agree with the odds. If I had to put money on the fight I would bet with Thurman. But its definitely going to be a close one!

Thurman can't handle somebody with as much in your face pressure as Porter.

    Championship rounds TKO by Porter.

Oh I get it.... you hate Porter because he beat your honey Adrien Broner. And lost to Kell Brook. Two unforgivable sins.

Grow up, styles make fights.....Porter is a nightmare for Thurman.

This is a good fight. I'll be interested to see how Thurman deals with the sort of pressure Porter brings.

Thurman moves and uses his jab well but he hasn't fought anyone as relentless as Porter. If his jab (and power) can keep him honest, then he's ready for anyone at 147.

I'm going for Thurman by stoppage but it is a hard fight to call.

No you're racially and nationalistically attached to them instead, and of course Porter lost to a Brit, so you think he's a bum now.:patsch

Kell Brook Jr™ has done a good job of beating domestic American hype jobs like Maliganggi, Alexander and Broner. He could be worth a punt if he's the under dog, although the question has to be asked, can Porter still win with his soul looked up in an IKEA trophy cabinet in Sheffield? :think

Thurman's power seems to of evaporated his last 9 fights since he stepped up to anything approaching a serious level.

He had to beat Orlando Lora half to death to get a mercy stoppage (Lora was actively taunting him at times)

Quintana and Diaz were ancient and both retired after their bouts with Thurman. Collazo was stopped with a cut. He landed everything and the kitchen sink on Guerrero and couldn't stop him, he landed as much on an old war torn Karass and managed a stoppage.

His once vaunted power has badly faded into a mediocre accumulation type power, and I don't think that, coupled with his constant, frantic energy draining movement to avoid incoming offense as opposed to punch slipping or the ability to hold and work in close will do him favors against Porter.

He doesn't punch as hard as Amir Khan, as we saw in their fights v Collazo :nod

One of the most intriguing match ups since DSG vs Matthysse. I can't wait.
