I think it's rated accurately. The guy definitely packs a punch. I'd like to see him fight Maidana or Shawne Porter in the near future (after Porter's upcoming fight.) I'd REALLY like to see him face Khan next, but I doubt Amir would fight him even though they're similar in age and it would make sense at this current juncture for both guys.

Keith could end up being the next excellent WW after Floyd and Pac retire, but he needs to still work on a few things, especially defensively and with his footwork which has looked sloppy at times the last few fights. But he's a promising and talented fighter, no doubt, and his power is a neutralizer in the ring at 147 lbs.

Guererro has one of the best chins in boxing.

And Bundu was an undefeated fighter fresh off a win over one of the best prospects in the WW division

Anybody who says Guerrero is a journeyman doesn't know jack. Journeyman don't win titles in multiple divisions.

You're right. It's something that needs tweaking. Putting a lot of venom on single shots is easier to brace for than a timely combination. Naseem Hamed regressed once he fell in love with his power. Keith has decent accuracy but he's a bit too coiled. He should learn how to pepper more.

Part of the reason why Golovkin gets you outta there are those tapping shots. They confuse your defences. Then comes a big one.

This is like the Pacquiao power theory. You HAVE to UNDERSTAND... At this level, people don't want to be knocked out. It's hard to KO these P4P Champions. It doesn't happen often. Doesn't mean Thurman doesn't have power or is losing his power...it just becomes tougher when you start fighting big guys and champions.

I don't know if it's over rated because I don't know how highly people rate his power. His power seems good to me, nothing spectacular.

To me his power is real, the only thing he struggled with a little bit is when Guerrero put real pressure on him, but that's being real nit picky, he won probably 10 rounds last night

This isn't a fair assessment on Thurman. Guerrero takes a shot and when Thurman realized that he stopped loading up on one punch, decided to box and set combinations from that. Guerrero had no jab, wasn't quick on his feet and didn't take advantage of fighting in the phone booth

Yeah. He'd lose against a better boxer and lose against a great pressure-fighter like Maidana.

No he isn't. Failing to knock out Guerrero and Bundu isn't some black mark. :patsch

Some of the shots he hit Guerrero with would have polaxed a glass jawed fighter like Khan.. I agree, Guerrero just showed a great beard last night.... Nothing to do with Thurman lacking power.
