I'll be sure to find this thread if they ever fought. I have seen nothing from Spence that says he beats Thurman, Brook, or Porter yet. People, you do realize for Spence to land his shots, he'd have to take serious fire from both Brook and Thurman, and that he'd have to fight far more rushed and hurried from Porter's tactics. They're not gonna just stand there and let him throw shots. Sheesh......
This is a tough fight for both guys imo. It's difficult for Thurman because Spence seems like he has a good all round offence. Puts the pressure on well, good work rate, good jab, hits hard, works the body well etc. That will make it a very hard night for Keith. I think he might have to keep moving for the whole fight and not make any mistakes. Difficult for Spence because Thurman has very fast feet, excellent reflexes, good upper body movement, very fast hands and good power. I think maybe he would try to keep moving, try to be elusive and with Thurman's speed I think he will be able to land and test Spence's chin. Spence might have to work hard to catch Thurman and at the same time be very careful about what could come back at him.
I will repeat it once again. No one at 147 can beat Spence . He will only taste defeat at 154 or 160 .
As soon as crawford is ready to step up would be a good time for spence to move up to 54 and steer clear of Williams or Lara.
Lets see how crawford would perform at 147 first . Gamboa a true 130 pounder rocking TC still replays in my head time and time . Crawford chin is still a big question mark to me . Fortunately for him , he is not a fighter that gets caught flush constantly . But all things will be revealed in due time .
:deal 2 inch height differnece and 3 inch reach difference tight contest like this inches could matter
A limited guy like Porter gave him hell on the inside and arguably beat him I see no way Thurman will escape against Spence, if he does he will take a vicious beating in the process. Thurman isn't a bad fighter but I've always felt Spence is a bad match up for him.
both fighters are still getting better. its a great fight, hard to pick. honestly i think thurman finds a way to win . im just wandering how these guys make 147 is unreal. thurman and spence should fight at 154 they be way healthier and stronger.
i think spence beats thurman. bundu's habit of constantly switching guards kind of confused spence for a while, i would expect that from someone in spence's stage of development, but he still got the job done in impressive fashion. i think it would be a competetive fight, i just think spence is overall more gifted.
