I don't see any posts on this for some reason, just the usual racial circle jerks involving GGG

Thurman is coming in a favorite, with this belief that he is a knockout artist and that will be his undoing. He will try to fight from the distance and load up his shots, but I don't think he is ready for the relentless inside pressure Porter brings. Shawn is no stranger to derailing hype trains and upsetting favorites, and I have a feeling it will happen again.

My prediction: Porter by UD unless he gets robbed.

Thurman is faster than Porter so he will run and use his counterattack style to beat Porter.

My prediction : Thurman wins by UD or the late stoppage.

I disagree. Thurman has shown he can box and be patient (for which he was booed) I would also say yes he is ready for Porter because they have shared a ring. Porter is tough, but he really has minimal boxing skills so he would have to win by volume and tenacity. He is like a less skilled Tim Bradley.

Who knows though, Maybe Porter will come in, and sit on all his punches and KO Thurman? It's possible. Keiths chin is still suspect. If Shawn fights his usual arm punching, no power, hacking style I believe he loses.

Can't wait for this fight. I agree I think sharing the ring previously in sparring does help KT in this one. He has felt the Porter bum rush rather than not knowing how's that's gonna be until fight night.

I see Thurman fighting a disciplined fight as far as using lots of movement and also landing the cleaner shots. Porter will get frustrated and be chasing the target all night, mauling ineffectively, maybe getting thru and putting Keith in retreat mode a few times but it won't be enough

Big fan of both fighters, Porter has a lot of class, that Brook fight was a downer to me I hated he lost that. If he could pull off this win who knows maybe we get a nice trilogy out of these two

Thurman is only a power puncher at the C and B- level.

Can't see him taking out B+ fighter like Porter.

Porter will run into a counter early & get KO'd. Porter's aggression will be his downfall.

I think the only way a trilogy happens is if Keith loses. Keith is the one the networks are looking to promote and Shawn has always kind of been on the outside looking in. Agree with your take.

How f**king sad is it that this fight is about to go down and I had to look on the 2nd page of the forum to find it?

It's definitely a difficult fight to pick for me because both fighters have glaring weakest that can be exploited.

Porter has strength, heart and stamina to trouble Thurman. Think what a better Collazo would have done and Porter is a better Callazo.

My pick is the first 4 to 5 rounds are Thurmans and the rest of the fight are Porters. 7-5 or 6-6!

i get the gut feeling that thurman will fold in a tough heart check. its just a feeling that comes from a lifetime of sizing up people and situations. I also think porter has the heart to test thurmans. if porter stays on his feet, i think he wins.

I don't think Thurmans speed is going to be enough to stop Porters advance. Broner is faster and Porter handled his speed easy. I also don't think Thurman has enough power to get Porters respect. I see Porter as having more stamina, more heart, and the pressure to make Thurman crack.

Where do you see bias? If you took offense to the words hype train, I didn't mean it in a negative sense. To me, hype is quality promotion and Thurman is very well promoted. He is currently being positioned to take over the welterweight division, but I just don't see Porter as the type to let that happen without a fight.
