Thurman looked poor against Porter and Garcia yet some have him top 10 P4P

    he lost to Porter and got a gift.
    and then looked poor and threw little ( but did more than Danny) in a really boring fight.
    Very odd to me that this qualifies him to be in P4P lists! He should be nowhere near a top 10 P4P list.

    How did he look poor? He fought 2 of the best in the division and anytime you fight the best 9-10 times its going to be competitive. That's not a knock on Thurman whatsoever and he's definitely a top 10 p4p boxer.

    He may not be a top P4P fighter but he certainly is an elite fighter who clearly beat two top welterweights back to back in Porter and Garcia. He deserves a lot of respect.

    SRR looked poor beating Jake Lamotta and even lost to him once. Honestly don't understand how people rate this guy p4p #1 in history.

    Porter and Garcia are not that good for a start! Thurman looks very average to me.

    The Porter fight .. cmon Porter won that fight pretty clearly so he doesn't deserve credit for that. and Danny is one of the most overrated fighters in the sport, average in every department apart from chin even Herrera schooled him. Danny didn't even show up against Thurman.

    I think this overly high rating of him is partly cause he's American. because there's many examples of USA fighters have inflated P4P ratings. Broner was top 5 at one point on the Ring magazine P4P ratings!
    Gassievs win over the very tough, very good Dorticos for example is a better win than any win Thurman has had, yet people have Thurman in P4P lists but not Gassiev smh.

    I disagree and Thurman definitely has the skills, and has clearly taken over the top spot at WW until somebody beats him for it. Hes not overrated by any means.

    He didn't lose to Porter but it was a close fight and he didn't look poor against Danny. No.....I didn't agree with you. I watched those 2 fights and impressed what he did. Thurman is still a very tough guy at 147 now and I'm looking forward to watching him in the ring soon.

    Spence and Crawford would whoop his ass easily and make him look very average. And that Lithuanian guy with the long name I think would knock him around the ring.

    Are you comparing a historical ATG p4p list with a current top 10 p4p list?

    It's very hard to look good against Porter, Porter's style is wrestling, headbutting, etc., but he deserved the win. Thurman looked good against Garcia, both are top welterweights. I don't see Spence or Crawford fighting Porter or Garcia......................I think Porter would beat Spence and Crawford....................
