Definitely DKSAB, ask Porter himself atsch Porter gets credit for the last win, he is #3 now behind Thurman & Mayweather in WW
Can't really go wrong either way. Both have an unconventional leaping offense. Porter seems to have a little better defense, Thurman seems to have better jabs It's a great fight
Uhh.... Pacquiao was never a beast at 147. He made a severely shot and dehydrated Oscar quit, viciously ko'd Hatton... and thats about it. Cotto and Marg were at catchweights.
No No, The leaping left is a signature move of Porters. Thurman did it against Karass but he was trying to get to him before the ref got there to stop the fight. Porter is a swarmer with decent power and Thurman is a boxer puncher with excellent power.
Thurman wins this easy. Thurman counter punches better than Pauli and will catch Porter leaping in. Porter punches so widely, I see Thurman landing clean shots in between Porter's wild and wide hooks.
Thurman needs to work on some things, but he does have the one punch power. I like his win over Chaves better than Porter's wins over Alexander and Malignaggi. Beating Paulie up don't mean ****. I don't think Porter would beat Chaves.
How'd this Charlo talk start? I don't think either Porter or thurman is planning a move up any time. soon.
I wasn't disagreeing with you mate :good My point was and still is that Kell shouldn't be overlooked at based on his competition to date when the likes of Keith Thurman who have a very similar resume to date are getting smoked blown up their arses. And you're right about Thurman's performance against Chavez, but why does that still discredit Kell getting a win when he was hit by a challenge?
I guess you could say that in Thurman's gut check win he showed more strength then weakness and in Kell`s gut check win he showed more weakness then strength. That is just the general sentiment. My personal opinion isn`t quite as negative as that. I don`t read much one way or another into Kell`s performance. Less then a year before he was a world champion Porter was getting a schooling by Diaz. These type of fights happen to young fighters. One thing I will say is that Chavez is probably a way way better fighter then anyone Brook has ever faced.
