Well he struggled vs Lopez If he fights a quick tune up with the commitment to a big fight I would be slightly ok with this if it is on FS1 or regular FOX I would say even if its a non title fight or something like that. But even then its not ideal Broner really out did himself vs Pacquiao
Dont mind this if its a quick turn around, say April, keeps Thurman active, gets him rounds and eases him back into the mix with the big boys whilst still being relitively decent gatekeepers. Maybes not the sort of fights a champion should be taking but I dont mind it. If Thurman could get 3-4 fights in this year that would be great, especially with how inactive hes been the last three years.
https://www.boxingforum24.com/threa...lem-broner-kevin-blue-kingpin-johnson.623083/ At this point the only interest an Adrien Broner fight holds for anyone is whether or not his opponent will finally be the one to KO him.
What's with all the hate, dude ? If the judges hadn't robbed Adrian in his last fight, we would be arguing about whether he should be facing Earl or Bud.
This is a safe fight for Thurman because of his ring rust fight. A well known name, but safe because Broner is not going to be busy or active enough to beat Thurman. Another tune up fight for Thurman. It's a smart pick for Thurman's team.
Broner, with hard work, sacrifice and a trainer that will be truthful with him can still be great at 140. Broner has taken too many hard shots since Maidana and if he keeps taking them, he will lose punch resistance and start slurring. He needs to stay away from the top Welterweights.
