Who are you picking? And did the video change or reaffirm your thoughts?

    Good video

I see this fight being won on what type of work the judges favor aggression and work rate or clean punching and ring generalship. I see Porter outworking Thurman but Thurman landing the cleaner and telling blows. It will be a close fight and will depend on what the judges prefer.

Good video, I'm picking Porter, I've always thought Porter had the style to beat Thurman but maybe even Mayweather, so it basically reaffirmed my thoughts.

Agreed that Porter beats both Thurman and Floyd. Then again with Floyd you never know, he might adopt the same tactics than Brook and pull it out

Thanks. What do you make of the Brook fight? Porter tried to compensate Brook's clean punching on the outside with activity but he just got clinched up.

Thanks. I think Porter is too sloppy to beat Floyd, what did you think of the Brook fight?

Very ugly fight. But Brook did what he had to do in order to deal with Porter's aggression. I think Brook is probably better than Thurman to be honest despite his weaker resume. I don't think Thurman is as strong as Brook despite being more athletic. He won't be able to tie up Porter as successfully as Brook was able to do. But I could be wrong we shall soon see.

I predicted Brook would beat Porter and the way he did it, the stiffness and accuracy of Brook's jab and his size advantage I knew would give Porter issues as well as the fact that Brook is just as physically strong as Shawn, so he would lose that advantage. As far as Floyd goes that would be a toss up obviously, and not even remotely easy feat but Shawn if he implemented his style to perfection, he'd have a shot.

For the record I have a great record at predicting Porter matches, I predicted he'd annihilate Alexander, not on here, I predicted he'd KO Paulie brutally, he'd lose to Brook and Broner would be dominated from bell to bell.:D

There's the thing, I just don't think Porter has mastered his own style to perfection, and I don't think Floyd does anything worse than Brook does.

    I have 115-113 Thurman.

Both will have their moments. Both are solid fighters.

Niether have the potential of Mr.Spence.

There is one thing that Brook probably has the edge on and that's power, and that does make a difference.

For sure, power is a difference and it matters. But the jab and defense matter more in a match-up with Floyd IMO.

I would really love to see the winner fight Spence.

Keith is such an odd fellow. Talking with crazed pride like he's figured out the complex conundrum that is Shawn 'Pitbull' Porter. I hope he wins cause it seems to me he's a fragile dude who's convinced himself of his greatness as a defense mechanism. If he loses he's gonna psychologically implode I'm telling you.

Aaaaanyway. What I'm curious to see is whether Thurman, who's obviously well aware Porter is a strong mother****er, will back himself to stand up to Showtime's brutish ways, or whether he's gonna be on his bike working with one twos. I don't believe he has the core strength to use Kell Brook's approach, nor really the footwork to keep Porter at length, so he's gonna have some tough times. The early rounds will be dangerous I think, because he knows Porter's gonna come out guns blazing. Will he be prepared to give up those rounds? Doubt it.
Exciting fight. My guess is One Time's gonna channel his manic focus and be at the top of his game, catch Porter coming in, mid rounds, hurt him badly and win the fight going away from there.
    Good video, thanks for posting.

    Nice to see you, Bogo.
I like Thurman but tbh I've only seen a couple of fights (Guerrero and Zaveck, Zaveck fight being the one to put me off Thurman). I've seen three fights of Porter, too (Paulie, Broner and Brook).

Thurman's defence - Basic high guard with no noteworthy variations, attempts to reset in a very standard way that leaves him rather open. His footwork I find is more on the basic side. Because of his belief in his power and strength, he doesn't structure defence enough through his feet.
He refuses to make use of the ring to structure his game, when he does make decent use of the ring it's because his defence is purely reactionary and means Porter is going to gain points on ring generalship and assert his own fight. I feel this is the difference between Thurman and Brook.
Although I am expecting Thurman to win more late rounds.

Porter's inside game is sloppy, he throws arm punches lacking intent with the main view to just tie up. Shame, his strength, size and stature provides him decent tools for this.

I do like Thurman though, he must be a lovechild of Virgil Hunter (as well as Keisha Cole it seems) given his strangeness, I want him to win. It's just not easy for me to decide because I just don't know how all of these variables will mesh together. Ah, what the heck, I'm picking Porter.

about right, but can thurman knock porter down? broner did it with basically the only decent punch he landed. and porter crowds his work so much. :verysad
