Thurman vs Prudnikov is a great match up who wins if they fight?

Would be a great test for Thurman too bad Top Rank/Golden Boy will ruin this possibility.

Bradley busted Provodnikov up so a Hard hitter like Thurman would be able to stop him. I can see it being a corner stoppage or TKO

Sadly though theres too many roadblocks

HBO refuse to show any Goldenboy promoted shows

Top Rank refuses to work with Goldenboy and the HBO scenario would be used as an excuse

Bob Arum will keep Provodnikov for Mike Alvarado / Marquez / Bradley / Rios / Pacquiao

    Thurman would probably take it.

Provodnikov isn't with Top Rank, so it could happen.

I say Thurman takes it pretty easily though. He wouldn't have been close with Bradley if Bradley's chin could have handled his shots.

Why does everybody think Provodnikov is with Top Rank? He's with Banner Promotions, so essentially a free agent.

This is a great fight, but like many Provodnikov hypothetical matchups, one he likely loses in a closely contested war.

I'd also be interested in seeing Thurman against Abregu, who's due for another higher profile fight.

The Russian wins a UD. He gets to fraudulent Thurman by about round 4 or 5. Thurman has a ton of heart and hangs on, putting on a competitive performance, but falls short by 2-3 points on the cards.

I like Thurman early in the fight but I think that Prudnikov is durable enough to KO him in the later rounds.

The worst possible stylistic matchup for Ruslan. Thurman answered a lot of questions in his last fight.

Providnikov is tough and hits like bricks but is facing a
BIG welter who can box and bang too. I think KT's movement
and the fact that the russian is easy to hit makes this a fun
fight for us to watch, but is mostly dominated by the better
fighter. Thurman UD 12 or late stoppage.
