It was a fairly decent in my opinion. He did shut him out 12-0 after all. I think people were harsh on him because obviously they were expecting a knockout. Thurman just got back from injury and was put in with a tricky veteran who switches stances. A tough fighter to look good against.
After all that KO talk he didnt even try, thats what ****ed people off. Right after the fight he started the KO hype again. Good performance, imo. :bbb
He won every round vs a former Olympian with a professional record of 31-0 Not bad :good Pssshhh.. I agree tho don't say kos for life if you're not gonna try to get the KO
a KO would of hidden how much he needs to improve himself as far as being a boxer goes. Cant say I enjoyed that particular fight though. Maybe just ahving a bad night in the office? Still pretty good getting the win if that was just an off day :rasta
Good performance but when you have KOed almost every opponent before most people expect a KO you know. The dont understand that styles make fights....
brilliant performance , not every fight can be a bloodbath or a vicious KO , the fans that booed should be ashamed of themselves , it was a 12 round masterclass .
I thought he did well. Sure it wasn't very exciting watching him outbox a tough, durable awkward opponent from the outside, but he did what he was supposed to do. Bundu has good defense, and a herky jerky style, also a switch hitter. Bundu's only chance, with his short arms, and short height, was to get inside. Thurman kept his distance, like he was supposed to. He won easy. Thurman showed holes defensively, but I think most people accept that as part of the package with him now. Bundu was actually a quality opponent. 40, but in peak shape, tough, still undefeated coming into the bout. Looking at who was available for Thurman, I don't have an issue with him fighting Bundu. Anybody calling Bundu a bum, just doesn't know boxing. Bundu is no worse than Chaves, probably a little better. His resume is better than that of Chaves.
Yeah, it's amazing, even in some peoples articles about the fight, afterward, you could tell they didn't really know anything about Bundu, and had never even seen him fight before.
Good performance, he just looked to s****e rounds like Mayweather does rather than try to really dominate a round like Pac does. The guy he fought is too good for European level but is way too limited for world level and the fact he didn't take any chances against him which just bored people when he is meant to be one of the most exciting fighters on the planet
Too limited for world level based on seeing him versus Thurman, or from other bouts? ...and I doubt you'd find many welters find it all that easy to dominate Bundu. Just nicking rounds still counts, and Thurman did it enough times for a lopsided decision over a very good 147lber.
