Thurnman can box, throw hard shots, and quite slick. Besides, he knows how to run also. He is technically very sound.

The welter division is a joke. These guys make Margarito look like a atg. Forget the plaster wraps, he beats these guys with chin alone

Keith 'Run time' Thurman will become nothing more than Victor Ortiz 2.0 after the special one or king khan gets there hands on him

hes shyte, how come he gets a free pass by everyone for ducking errol spence? - who imo will be the future of 147 from the USA

Thurman will lose to everyone currently ranked in top 10, unless he lands a punch vs khan. Brook, Bradley, pac, mayweather porter, alexander, maidana would all beat him.

as for being a work in progress he's nearly 27 and 27 fights ffs, he's got an internet bum club that keep riding his **** and make excuses for him, and both Thurman and al-haymon know these will disappear as soon as he's put with a live body, so he'll keep fighting shot fighters like collazo / guerrero/daiz/quintara etc to keep the hype going.

I don't think he's awful (like everyone all of a sudden thinks now since he won almost every round and stopped Collazo; losing one round and getting buzzed these days is some sort of career detriment to most fans, I guess). My opinion on him didn't really change at all after last night. He is a good fighter but I highly highly doubt he will be king at WW in 5 years. I don't think he's shown me enough to make that bold pick. Besides, he will almost certainly be at 154 by the time 5 years rolls around.

After surviving that vicious body shot which Collazo wound up for and landed perfectly, one can say Keith Thurman has elite level ***** and stamina.

I just dont see pound for pound top 3 talent or skill in Thurman. I see a solid, world class guy but not sure if he will reach the elite level.

Thats a reasonable opinion as well, Smoak.

Some of these posters take such extreme views of fighters instead of enjoying a nice fight.

"He's a hype job". "He got exposed". "He cant beat lame ass so-and-so".

Shut the f*ck up you b()ners.

He won't be able to make 147 in 5 years.

I'd say Khan, Brook, Thurman AND Bradley will be too big for 147 in 2-3 years.

All but Thurman & maybe Brook will be retired in 3 years.

I expect Thurman to be at 154 in 3 years...unless he gets paydays and retires by the time he is 29/30.
